2.1.5.2 ANATOMICAL PROGRAMMING CONTROLS AND DISPLAY

In APR selection menu, the body parts (regions), programmed techniques (views) for each body part, and body
sizes are shown in a single screen and easy to be selected.

In APR exposure menu, the exposure parameters, image receptor and AEC conditions for the techniques can
be modified and saved.

Press this button to enter the APR mode to select APR condition.
The adjacent APR menu will be displayed on the LCD.

To return to the manual mode, press or button.

GXR-C series generator provides optimal APR exposure parameters based on various
sources.
However, the parameters are also affected by sensitivity of film/screen, and age of x-
ray tube, or other system environment.
If the parameters need to be modified to meet the new demand, they can be modified
by operator.

2. CONSOLE CONTROLS GXR C Series

The description of function buttons are given below.

1. Select the body part by scrolling up.


2. Select the body part by scrolling down.
3. Select the patient size by scrolling left.
4. Return to the manual exposure mode.
5. Select the programmed technique of the selected body part by scrolling up.
6. Select the programmed technique of the selected body part by scrolling down.
7. Select the patient size by scrolling right.
8. Go to the APR exposure mode with selected condition.

To enter APR exposure mode, select desired technique using function keys in APR selection menu, then press

or button.

To return to Manual exposure mode, press button.

To return to APR selection menu, while in APR exposure mode, press or button.

The picture below is the typical display of APR selection mode for animal with body size selection using cm unit.

The below is the description of function buttons.

1. Left-hand side button: Select the part and technique by scroll up.

2. Left-hand side button: Select the technique by scroll down.

3. or button: Return to the APR selection menu.

4. Right-hand side button: Select the body size by scroll up.

5. Right-hand side button: Select the body size by scroll down.

In APR exposure mode, X-ray exposure is done by normal Prep, Exposure control.

Also, in APR exposure mode, the technique and body size can be modified.

2. CONSOLE CONTROLS GXR C Series

Using left-hand side buttons, operator can select maximum 80 techniques, and using right-hand

side buttons, body sizes can be selected by cm unit or four representative sizes.

If the selected technique’s exposure parameters need to be modified, use kV, mA, ms up/down buttons to
change and save the new parameter.

When APR technique is modified, an ‘*’ asterisk sign is issued in front of the selected technique.

To save the new exposure parameter, press button. Buzzer sound will confirm the saving and the ‘*’

asterisk sign will disappear and ‘APR Data Saved..’ will displays on the status message area of LCD during one
second.

Also the Image receptor and AEC setting can be modified and saved.

To return to Manual exposure mode, press button.
