Company: CBSI (IBM Pvt. Ltd Hyderabad), India


Client: Development bank of Singapore (DBS)
Tools used: Changeman, TSO/ISPF, Expeditor (online and batch), Abend-aid, Easytrieve, HPQC,ISM.

Description: This project handles DBS bank's consumer banking. Typical portfolios of this project
include E-channels (internet banking, ATM, SMS banking, mobile banking etc.), Current and Savings
accounts, loans and deposits, customer information database etc.

Responsibilities:
Working as a lead consultant and mentoring team in DBS CARDS team.
Involved in feature enhancement and ensuring the timely design and development of project,
performance and end-to-end test execution as per business requirement.

Responsibilities:
Worked as technical lead and mentored team in DBS IBR team including coordination and status
reporting to customer.
24*7 Production batch support and resolution of customer reported as well internally identified
bugs.
Worked across the modules for improving the batch run performance to avoid the reoccurring
failure and manual interference.
Analysis of the customer requirements and preparation of the detailed design in concurrence to
the high-level design, impact analysis to the existing systems.
Worked on all phases of SDLC consisting design, development, testing, implementation and post
implementation activities.
Training to team members and documentation of the technical and domain knowledge gained
during the session.
Maintained the document which contains the details about the batch abend, root cause and
resolution and this was very useful document for support team to resolve the defect quickly.

Some of the releases worked upon are as below,

Project#1: Production Support project


Business as Usual, 24x7 production support project: -
This is 24*7 support project and it involve complex production defects resolution within given SLA
which are raised by end user, address the queries raised by Clients.

Project#2: Development projects.


Bill Payment system enhancement (BMSP)
Incorporated the new changes done as part of Paylah, Mobile banking and Ideal3 server projects.
Enhanced the system to facilitate the new corporations, added logic for payee verification,
created new reports.
Singapore Saving bond (AR1503 release)
As Part of this project, new service for Singapore saving bond application and redemption was
introduced under investment and trading services.
Mobile banking Kony project – Add Recent Payee
Customer can add payees for 3rd Part FT, Interbank FT, OTT and Bill Payment and perform
financial transactions using these payees. A new Recent Payee functionality was being introduced
to capture the payees who are used by the customer to perform financial transactions in a Recent
Payee list. This was to help to improve the customer experience while using mobile banking for
these services.
CASA 24*7
Created new Cobol programs and modified the flow of the existing programs such that they can
handle the customer requests/transactions from the e-channels 24 x 7 in online mode unlike the
earlier system where the e-channels were available in online and offline modes.
Bill payment using P2P
The purpose of the Bill Payment System (BMSP) is to manage BO profiles and to provide this
information to Channels that provides bill payment services to customers.
As part of this project, BMSP system was enhanced to support the bill payment using Paylah.
Verification 1FA/2FA and Verify token /SMS OTP
Scope was to separate out the various type of verifications for Login process and generate the
reports to show the separate statics. This was to be used by business for analysis and
verification.

EMSP Mobile merge in CIS and EMS (ASG-012734-DBS):-


Customer mobile numbers was maintained in CIS and EMSP systems. As part of this project,
analyzed the data in both CIS database and EMS datasets and updated the latest mobile in CIS
Database.
Modified the existing design to only maintain the mobile details in CIS.

Client: HSBC Pvt Ltd

Description: One of the major areas in which HSBC works in the financial sector is the credit card
processing.
GIR Project: -
This project includes the resolution of critical production defects and providing global solutions to
production defects, which have been raised in the CMS (Credit Management System) and LTS (Letter
System) subsystems across different business units. Tasks involved were analyzing the system and
the functionalities thoroughly, resolving the defects and answering the queries raised by
business/customers on cards system.
CSD project: -
It is for enhancement to existing subsystem. As part of CSD, customized the HSBC WHIRL system
globally based on business requirement, redesigned the membership fees functionality to provide
more flexibility to the business unit in assessing the fees. Upgraded the HSBC system to FDI provided
Vision PLUS 8.33. FDI provided new functionalities were incorporated in GRV code base and
enhanced some of the existing functionalities based on business unit needs and made GRV 4.6 and
GRV 4.7 releases.
HSBC – Compliance 7.2: -
The international payment card associations (MasterCard and Visa) release business operations and
system processing modifications for card issuers, acquirers and processors. This project was to make
code modifications or additions in the sub-systems of VisionPLUS (CMS, FAS, TRAMS etc.) that are
catering to card services on account of changes in regulations, business rules etc. of VISA and
MasterCard. The tasks involved were retrofitting, testing and monitoring the System Integration
Testing (SIT) & User Acceptance Testing (UAT) batches and issue resolutions.

Responsibilities:
Lead the team from Offshore and onsite (Client location USA).
Analyzed and provided solution for critical production defects.
Was responsible for final review of fixes done by offshore team and delivering the fixes to 14
business units.
Promoted the global code till production level and analyzed the issues occurred during code
promotion.
Worked closely with customer and conducted sessions for customer and team members to
understand the various aspects of Endevor tool and new GRV Architecture.
Reported the FDI code fixes which involved change in FDI code.
Involved in unit testing, code review and documentation.
