• ô, au, eau like French “o” •
• Ou, où like “oo” in “moon”
• Oi, oî like “wa” in “water” , “ what”
• Oy like “y” in English
• Eu, oeu like in “her”
• Ui like French “u” + “i”
• ay sometimes like “a-i” and “e-i” in French, (both letters must be pronounced)
• Oin = ou + in
2. PRONUNCIATION:

• ion pronounced like “ tiong” without G


• sound an/am/en/em/ean similar to “sang” withoutG
• Om/on like “song” “wrong” without G sound
• Un/in/im/ain/ein like = 1 French
• tion = sion
• ai / ei = “day” “play”

• In a word, if “S” in between 2 vowels, it is pronounced like a “Z” .
