Chapter 1 : Foundation Of Interpersonal Communication

Connection 1 : Source- Receiver (scene 15:15)

Encoding refers to the act of producing messages for example speaking or writing (explain

theory first). From the scene 1:22:58, shown about Encoding – Decoding from Ray

Merrimen. Conversation happen between Ray Merrimen and Donnie Wilson. There are

talking about situation happen. Ray Merrimen speak and he act of producing a messages

call encode. Meanwhile, as a listener, Donnie Wilson act as decoder to understand and

comprehend the message send by Ray.

MESSAGES OF THE MOVIE

Positive Messages:
1. Responsible for the loved ones
We must responsible and dare to risk our lives to maintain the security of our beloved country.

In the last scene, Big Nick O’Brien and his friends fight using weapons to catch bank robbers.

In the end, he manages to kill the robber but some of his friends are injured. In this story, we

must have the nature of sacrifice to catch criminals so that our country will always be peaceful.

Negative Messages:
1. Negative perception about people without giving opportunity for them to explain.
We have to give someone to explain about the truth before we come out with our judgement.

Dom have a negative perspective towards Mr. Nobody, the one who save him from Shaw. Mr.

Nobody wants to explain the truth about the God’s Eye but Dome keep asking like he not

believed in him.
