Analysis Phase:

A. Choose a real life client for your application. (e.g. Sigal clinic system as Dental Clinic
Management System.). ( 1 mark)

B. Describe in 100 words (about one paragraph) the business domain (you’ve chosen) for which
you will be constructing a database management system. i.e. who is your client, what are the
activities or services provided and so on. ( 2 marks )

Design Phase (conceptual):

C. Draw an ERD: ( 7 marks )

1. Identify five main Entities. ( -0.5 for each missed entity)


2. Identify Relationships.
3. Identify Attributes.
4. Show the Cardinality ratio and Participation.
Notes:

- ERD should be drawn in a single page using an application program like Visio, Edraw, etc…
(NOT by hand)
- Use the attached template to submit the required phase. You have the choice to design it as you
want. Rename the word file by your project title and don’t forget to delete the guidance statements.
- All members should agree on the same template. i.e. same font style, size, color, indentation etc…
(unify your format)
- The phase with all sections should be handed in a single file.
- Your project is not accepted after the due date.
- Remember, "Every time you do a project, you learn something new". Do something unique and
