    Position Description

    Title : Post Graduate Engineering Trainee (PGET) - CFD


    Reports to : Team Leader

    We welcome your application if you are:


    Graduating in the year 2022 with a Masters in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering/
    equivalent and an aggregate of 70%.

    What you can expect in this role:


    You will be involved in the design and development of exhaust systems, parts and
    subassemblies from thermo fluid dynamic perspective. You will receive extensive on
    the job training on performing CFD analysis using commercial Tools including
    geometry cleanup, pre-processing, problem setup, report preparation and sharing the
    solution with customers. The potential CFD applications include steady state &
    transient CFD analyses to predict flow field and pressure distribution, multiphase
    flows, reactive flows and conjugate heat transfer.

    Principal Accountability:
    o Input verification, effort estimation and activity planning with respect to
    due date and related communication to internal stakeholders/customers.
    o Carry out pre-processing, simulation setup, post-processing & report
    preparation as per internal/customer requirement and present to internal
    stakeholder / customer.
    o Validate the design for flow and thermal targets and provide design
    recommendations for development of exhaust designs to meet the OEM
    specifications.
    o Support and / or active participation in international professional networks
    in Faurecia Clean Mobility (incl. documentation).
    o Identify and share the lessons learned and best practices within FCM
    network.
    o Executing preventive and corrective actions; maintain, track quality & on
    time delivery metrics for all work requests.
    o Supporting standardization, harmonization and documentation of
    calculation methodologies, including working procedures.
    You will be a great fit if you:

    o Are open to travel to customer places, local or overseas
    o Are self driven and team oriented

    Technical know-how preferred:


    o Engineering basics: Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, IC
    Engines.
    o Manufacturing Processes : Bending, stamping, hydroforming, welding,
    muffler manufacturing, etc.

    Software knowledge preferred:


    o CFD Solvers: StarCD / CCM+, Taitherm, Fluent etc
    o CFD pre processing tools: Hypermesh
    o Programming languages - TCL-TK, Python, Perl, Java
    o MS-office & Unix / Linux applications
