Teaching has always been my passion.

After I graduated from college, I promised to myself that

one day, I can teach abroad and that would be the land of opportunity, America. Millions of
immigrants left their own homes to find something in America not readily available in their own:
an opportunity to succeed. I believe that my course as a Special Education teacher would be a
great chance for me to land a job to the country, I love the most.
Why do I want to teach in US?
Simply, I want to achieve my biggest dream and to help my family as well.
Back when I had my first job experience, I was uncertain if I will continue being a Sped teacher.
Why? Because of the nature of the job that I have to deal with. I was teaching students with
hearing impairment. At first, it was very ironic because the school didn’t teach sign language as
their medium of communication but rather, they taught them how to communicate by speaking
through lip reading. Yes speaking! It was the first time I heard that kind of instruction used in
teaching deaf-mute students. Perhaps, they even sing, dance, act and recite a prayer. The
students were just like any other normal kids. From that moment, I realized that this would
challenge me and test my teaching capabilities. To cut the long story short, I taught there for 2
years and the school has left me a lot of learnings and I will cherish it forever.
Right now, I am already married for 2 years and a half with a beautiful daughter. My plan would
be if ever I will be working in America, I want to bring my whole family as well. I can’t take
leaving my family away from me for too long. So, as soon I will get the job, maybe a year or so,
or whatever is applicable to my situation, I will petition my whole family and start a new life
there. I really want to give my family a life that they deserve. This would be a great opportunity
for me and for my family as well.
