RATIONALE:
In this 21st century, many societal and developmental issues are significantly increasing as the world of digitalization and economic and social development has been consistently
rising. People, as one of the affected, deemed to be challenged on how to cope with and adjust to this fast-changing time.
Vulnerable ones, like young people, could experience peer pressure, cyber bullying, difficulty creating healthy social relationship, depression, etc. due primarily to digitalization and
social /economic development. The impact of these could evidently see on their school performance, level of socialization, self-esteem, and self-efficacy, and the way they see or
value him/herself or the so-called self-worth. Considering these could be the challenges that young people might experience thus, collaboration between parents, teachers, school
counselor, school administration is highly needed in order for these developmental issues be addressed.
In view of this, the Guidance Services of St. Louise de Marillac College of Sorsogon designed a Guidance Program that is holistic and developmental, in support to the needs of the
students. Here are some of the primary services that students can directly avail at the Guidance Center such as Counseling Service (group or individual counseling), Testing,
Individual Inventory, and Information Service. Other services will be implemented accordingly.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
SLMCS -Guidance Services care to:
i. Assist students in creating holistic approach to existing problems
ii. Provide realistic and doable solution as choices of students in dealing with their own issues
iii. Guide students in making wise decision for their personal, social, familial, and educational concerns
iv. Promote positive well-being, self-care and self-knowledge
