Set 2
Part 1: I were born and grow up in Lam Dong Province, where I had many wonderful memories.
Actually, I’m living in Duc Trong district and I wish my dream house will be in DaLat city. I love
the idea of having a two-storey house because I think it would be enough for a small family
to live cosily. It would have to be painted blue, which is my favourite colour, and the ceiling
would be beautifully decorated with star and moon ornaments. I love natural lights rather
than artificial lights so each room would have its own windows. The windows would also be
decorated with coloured string lights and various flowers, which would create a cosy
atmosphere for my family. I would hang some photos of inspirational quotes on the walls in
case I need some motivation. Each bedroom would have a balcony where we can enjoy the
weather of DaLat. I think I would have to save a lot of money if I want to buy a house like
this. The price of property has gone up dramatically in recent years, especially in coastal areas,
but I think it’s really worth it.
Set 3
Part 1: Last year, my family and I had a trip went to beach in Nha Trang. This trip had 2 days and
a night. We got there by plane, so we bought three round trip tickets. It took us about two
hours to get there. Then, we got a taxi to the hotel we booked in advance. We were
experienced many things in Nha Trang. In the morning, we got up early and saw sunrise
together. We went for a walk along the beach and took photos. Then we went swimming and
sailing. After that, we came back to the hotel and had lunch. At noon, it became hot and sunny.
Also, we were quite tired, so we stayed at the hotel and relaxed. In the afternoon, when it was
cooler and windy, we went to the beach again and played some games which were organized
there. When sunset, we came back the hotel and had dinner. We ate many kinds of sea food.
They were very delicious. In the evening, it was cool and had gentle breeze. We walked along
the beach and enjoyed clean air. I had a special time with my family there. Also, I could learn
many things from this trip and know more about this place. It’s a beautiful place and the people
there are very nice. I hope I can come there again.
Set 4
Part 1: There are several memorable events in my life that I can summon up and out of those, I
would like to talk about the time when I was getting ready for the university entrance exam.
This was an event that I still recall vibrantly. Every high school graduates are obligated to take
this examination in order to get into university. Therefore, the pressure is understandably
high. During this time back in 2020, I had to not only go to school on the basis but also had to
join extra classes because the content of the exam was humongous. To put it clearly, I went to
school from 7 in the morning until 9 in the evening. The pressure was so high because you
have to get good points in order to be admitted to proper universities. However, my parents
were very supportive and caring which help me to push more and try harder. Looking back at
it, although the pressure seems to be unhealthy for kids, I think it is worth it. Nowadays, what
I am doing, where I am, and what I will become are all shaped by this event. If I didn’t pour out
all of my efforts, I would not be able to attend my university and would not receive a quality
education. That’s why this is a very memorable event of my life.
Set 5
Part 1: I don’t own many gadgets… I have a laptop and a smartphone and I can’t imagine my life
without either of those… However, my laptop is the most important piece of technology for
me… I got it as a birthday present from my parents last year and I use it nearly every day
now. Although at first using it was like rocket science for me, after a few weeks I was able to do
everything I needed… From browsing websites to reinstalling the operating system… What’s
more, without my laptop I wouldn’t be able to do my homework for the university… Also, I use
it for surfing the Internet and finding whatever I want, whether it is a piece of code for my
project or a useful tip on how to cook a steak… Generally, my laptop became
an essential device for me…
Set 6
Part 1: Facebook is a social networking website. It's a free website that allows you to keep in
contact with friends or find people you've lost touch with. It's one of the most popular
websites in the world, with millions of users in different countries. All of my friends use
Facebook. One of my friends sent me an email inviting me to join. I signed up and I've been
using it ever since. Facebook allows you to keep up to date with what friends are doing. You
have a profile page with information and status updates so that you can tell everyone what
you're doing. You can post messages to other people's pages. You can upload photos and
videos. I find Facebook most useful for organising my life, keeping in touch with friends
and storing photos. I think social networking websites have become part of everyday life.
Part 2:
A: Let’s go out shopping
B: no!!
A: why don’t you want to go out and shop? We can relieve the stress and they’re pilling up

A: well... yeah... but you can also buy anything from shopping malls or the markets by driving
and walking, which is so-called traditional shopping which is way more reliable.
B: why should I waste my time we’re in such places, I can spend my precious time doing things
wanna do.
A: because you can check the quality and try on spot rather than being disappointed or angry
when the things are different what we see.
B: why do I have to check the product on the spot when I shop online and see all prroducts?
A: because you can get whatever you need immediately. It’s more fun to explore the shopping
malls and even you can have your friends.
B: poor I have no friends
A: fine... but you do notice that you can get scamming online shopping there have been lots of
incidents these dáy while there are no hackers and scammers in the real world. It is risky
because of the dangers of viruses on the internet and it’s likely be possible.
B: what... seriously? Hm... you have a poit.

people prefer to do traditional shopping.
A: right... I’m so sure everyone has internet...
B: not everyone, smartypants

when the stores are open and shut... meanwhile it’s 24/7 accessible online. You can even shop
at the midnight which is something traditional shopping cannot do
B: so... what are you suggesting that I should do online shopping?
A: yes

used hand in hand.
Set 7
Part 1: Well, when it comes to my closest friend, off the top of my head, I would say it’s T. We
go back a long way. In fact, we have been friends since my first year at university. At first, I
thought she was a talkative and graceless girl. However, as I got to know her more, I realized
that Tina was a very loveable person and in fact we shared a lot in common. When it comes
to personality, I and T are complete opposites. While she is very approachable and patient, I
am rather bad-tempered and reserved. To me, one of Tina’s most admirable personality
traits is that she has good communication skills. I mean, she can easily strike up a
conversation with anyone that she’s just met. consider Tina my best friend for a
couple reasons. Firstly, she really respects me and loves me for who I am.
Secondly, despite having a hectic schedule, she‘s always willing to lend a sympathetic
ear whenever I have problems or feel demotivated.
Set 8
Part 1: I'm going to describe my primary school which is very near my house. It take me about
10 minutes from my home to school and it also next to my high school. In Vietnam, we go to
primary school at 6 years old and it is the same to me. In summer, I could collect a lot of
phoenix flowers and push in my note books, and then I gave it to my best friend like a gift. My
memory about teachers in that school is unclear now but I still remember my third grade
teacher. The reason is she usually wore Ao Dai with a modern collar which could show her
neck and a little of her shoulder. And she is the only person who gave me a seat on special
class for outstanding student. One of important things I love my childhood at that school
because I met my ex-best friend from there, we played, we learned, we laughed, we ate
together. Besides that, my school used to be a hospital in war, so that we talked about a lot of
ghost stories, dared each other and our classmates to go to toilet at twilight. I can conclude
that I love my school because all my special memories was there.
Part 2:
A: Do you think computers will one day replace teachers in the classroom?
B: I’m not sure, but computers are the future of our society. In today's world, computers do
millions of things. Computers could be our teachers in the near future. If C3PO could teach young
Anakin to build a pod racer, who is to say that we could not create such a device to help us learn?
A: no! It can't replace. Because the teacher comes first to teach you everything she/he knows but
computers are just there to help just a little. also teachers can understand students feelings but a
computer cannot know how you feel cause it's a machine. Also computers were never there, they
were invented by human beings

Set 9
Part 1: Since I was a kid, my friends often asked me about my dream job in the future, I
thought and always wanted to be in business. And I think it really perfect for me now.
Salesperson or open a store selling a certain product. The reason I like doing business so much
is because my dad is an extremely good businessman. I’ve always admired him. Now, in
addition to studying, I also research more materials and read books to understand more about
different ways of selling. I like the time I spend sitting with my dad talking about customer
needs, the market or how to handle arising problems. This is a job I’ve always dreamed of. I
will strive to become a good businesswoman in the future.
Set 10: The project, I want to talk about, was creating an advertising campaign to sell a
product in my 10th grade. Of course, the product could be anything from a popular snack
item to an expensive electronic device. Luckily, I was allowed to work with a few other
classmates of mine, otherwise, it would have been really difficult for me to finish the project
on my own. We decided that we would create an advertisement campaign for selling “lemon
juice”. So, we all started to find information on the health benefits of lemon. We even kept
the lemon juices at different temperatures to discover their true taste. In fact, we felt that
the more information we have about the lemon juice, the easier it would get for us to create
an effective advertising campaign. Anyway, I learned a number of things from working on this
project. The lesson was that we all would need to work hard to listen to our legitimate
arguments, even if they sound very illogical, in order to keep a team spirit alive.
