History:

ShaPosh textile industry started in late 1900s. It was started by Abdul Ghafar and Sheikh Ijaz
Muhammad with millions. But now its value converts in to billions with addition of capital by
time to time. It is started at low scale at Gulzar Colony in Gujranwala. But in 2008 ShaPosh
textile industry shift from Gulzar Colony to buttaranwali for working all the processes of
production under one shed. ShaPosh is the composite unit with its installed capacity which has
spindles, weaving machines, and dyeing, processing, printing and stitching units.

Introduction:

The Textile industry of Pakistan is lifeline for the Pakistani’s economy. Therefore, a huge
portion of GDP is obtained by textile sector in Pakistan. This textile industry uses a high volume
of water for its operations. ShaPosh offers casual and fancy dresses of women and kids. The
important ingredients for the success of ShaPosh are the designs, quality of cloths and variety of
cloths and also good customer services. For expanding the retail footprints in textile industry
ShaPosh is actively working. ShaPosh has its own machinery for producing cloths and providing
employment to more than 1200 people. ShaPosh has its own retail shops in Gujranwala at
various places and also has its retail shops in the big cities of Pakistan.

Needs or wants of customers:

The ShaPosh Textile Industry is for the customers who want unstitched clothes, who want
Eastern clothes, who want western clothes, who want kids clothes, and the customers who want
the products of high quality.

Products of Business:

The main products of the organization are ladies garments and kid’s garments. In ladies garments
the fabric is viscose, chiffon, khadar, cotton and lawn. The dresses are available in casual
designs, and also in Party wear design. It is also including ready to wear clothes.

Products Distribution:

When the products come into finished form through different process the products keep in
warehouses. According to the demand of customers the goods are transferred to the different
franchises. The organization distributes the products in Cities like Gujranwala, Lahore through
his transportation service but the products transfer to other cities through courier.

Legal Structure of the business:

The legal structure of the business is partnership. In which two partners are involved who starts
the business thirty years ago with 4 stitching machines. The partners are;

2. Sheikh Ijaz

Industry Analysis:

Happens in industry:

Due to the economic conditions of the Pakistan the organization condition is stable. The
government policies and political conditions are the main reason for the stability of an
organization.

Future Hold:

According to the textile policy, the textile exports to increase by double which causes the growth
in textile industry in the future. So, the industry goes towards growth in the future.

Strengths:

Cheap Labor:

Cheap Labor has been integral part for the economy of Pakistan. Cost of production of the
organization becomes low due to the low price and liberal labor.

Raw Material:

The textile industry is highly dependent on cotton. The cotton is produce in huge quantity in
Pakistan which is beneficial for organization.

Weakness:

Lack of technology:

There is no advance technology which is the weakness of organization. Major work is done
manually which leads to high labor cost.

Energy Crises:

Load shading is the main problem in the textile industry. Due to gas shortage it is also difficult to
convert machinery on gas.

Opportunities:

Reducing Cost of Production:

Due to the high volume of production the cost of production should be reduced. The cost should
be reduced through following methods;

Use low quantity inputs to produce more output.

By simplifying the distribution channel

Online Availability:

Online availability of stock is also an opportunity to increase the revenues of the organization.

Threats:

Competitors:

Competitors are the threat for the organization. The major competitors are Khaadi, Sapphire and
Gull-Ahmad.

Lack of Technical Skills:

The most of the labors are unskilled and uneducated. Lack of technical skills is also threat for an
organization.

Market Overview:

8.5% of GDP comes from textile industry and it subsidizes round about 46% to the total output.
Pakistan’s textile industry classifies surrounded by the top in the world. Cotton based textiles
contribute over 60% to the total exports accounts for 46% of the total manufacturing and provide
employment to 38% manufacturing labor force. The availability of cheap labor and basic raw
cotton as a raw material for textile industry has played the principal role in the growth of the
cotton textile industry in Pakistan. Today, the nation round about sources 3 million bales from
international market, and produces close to 11.5 million bales domestically. It can be deducted
that the textile and garment industry of Pakistan has huge prospective to enlarge presumed it take
into compensation various hurdles that require instant and compulsory steps, mainly by the
government to boost the sector. Failure in taking steps can drag the textile industry downwards
principal to incapability to participate in the international market against its boom and able
associates.

PEST Analysis:

A PEST analysis is the analysis to determine the macro-economic factors of the country that
affect the firm. It includes the political, economical, social and technological factors. These
factors are not in the control of the organization and sometimes present like threats.

The political conditions of the Pakistan are not predictable. There is rapid change in the
Government. Every government has its own policies which affect the organizations. The political
