FIRMING UP

1. Write an acronym poem about lead what a budding journalist should remember writing a
lead.
L – earn to write truth,
E – arn facts,
A – dequate piece must provide,
D – eal with the consequences of being a budding journalist.

INTROSPECTING
I realized that as a budding journalist, I have to rely on the given facts, ideas, perspectives,
and circumstances you're reporting on. Use the Five W's and H to write a decent lead. Decide
whatever part of the tale — who, what, when, where, why, and how – is most significant
before creating a lead. In your lead, you should stress those points.
