Location of the School: SAN VICENTE, LIBMANAN, CAMARINES SUR
Date to Visit: OCTOBER 20, 2021

It was 20th day of October, when we visit this school which is our alma
mater, upon entering the campus I feel amazed and excited because I noticed
that there are many improvements when it comes to the facilities and
physical aspects of the school. While walking, I got to talk with my past
teachers and got a little time to say our regards because they are so busy
with their paper works. I also noticed the improvements when it comes to the
physical look, the garden is so beautiful and peaceful plus the colors of
the rocks and trees which make it more alive. Moreover, the classrooms also
improve, many learning materials/visual aids are available, there is also a
television in some classrooms which help the learners and teachers to make
the learning easier and convenient.

A N A L Y Z E.
How do the school campus and the classroom in particular impact the learning
of the students going to school? What are your conclusions?
- Having a good environment has a great impact to the learning of the
students. School campus and the classroom must be conducive to
learning of the students such as having a colorful, peaceful, clean
and green campus and classroom which will help to the well-being and
motivation of the students to learn.
How does this relate to your knowledge of child and adolescent development /
how does this relate to your knowledge of facilitating in learning?
- Based on my knowledge in child and adolescent development and
Facilitating in Learning, having a good environment both in the
school campus and classroom have a big impact when it comes to the
social, intellectual, and behavioral development of the learners.
Moreover, it enables and helps the teachers to easily facilitate the
classroom routines and manage the classroom well which make the
environment good and healthy.

REFLECT….
1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observed?
Why? Why not?
- Yes, I would like to teach in the school environment that I just
observed, because it is convenient for me because it’s near from my
house and also it was my alma matter so I think it will be a good
experience if I’m going to teach here. Additionally, it will be an
honor for me to work with my elementary teachers. Remembering my
experiences as an elementary student brings joy to my heart and
inspiration as well, to keep going and achieve more. I would love to teach
in this school, to share my knowledge and assess them in their journey in
learning.

2. What kind of school campus is conducive to learning?

- Having a good environment, peaceful, healthy and free from harm, and
child-friendly is a school campus that is conducive to learning for
me. It’s not just having or providing complete and good facilities,
for me a school campus that is conducive to learning provides
healthy, security as well as pleasant environment for the children.
3. What kind of classroom is conducive to learning?
- A clean and well-managed classroom is conducive to learning, as well
as having classroom facilities such as wall displays, visual aids
and etc. Providing the needs of the child and managing the classroom
very well has a great impact to the learning of the learners. It
will help the learners to be motivated and focus on their learning.
4. In the future, how can you accomplish your answer in number 3?
- As a future educator, I think knowing my student’s needs is what I
need to do. Knowing their learning styles, their strengths and
weaknesses and their story in life. Making my classroom conducive to
learning takes a lot of time, connecting with my students not just
because of work but because of love, providing classroom facilities
based on their learning styles will help them as well as me as their
teacher to make their learning easier. It will help them to enjoy
while learning, doing what you love while learning will help them to
gain knowledge easier.
5. Write your additional learnings and insights here.
- Becoming a teacher is such an honor and a challenge. It’s not all
about teaching, it is also about collaborating with your co-
teacher’s, with parents and with children. It’s not an easy task to
have a good camaraderie with everyone it takes a lot of effort and
time. As a future teacher, providing the learners a good environment
in the classroom and school campus, connecting with them and
providing their needs in learning may help them to be motivated in
going to school and enjoy their learning journey.
