As a Work Permit Receiver:
 Lay out a vision for safety.
 Identify and monitor hazardous situations, often including risk categorization.

 Taking adequate care to preserve the Permit in good condition.
 Identify energy isolations/lockout/tag outs that will be in effect for the work that is being
conducted.
 Notifying the issuer of work progress and completion, ad ensuring that the site is returned to safe
and operational state.
 Ensure that only personnel authorized by the Permit participate in the work and no unauthorized
interference takes place.
 Participate in any Risk Assessment where required.

standby- man for confined space entry.
 Revalidation of work permit is required.
 Identify the personnel who have oversight responsibility.
 Identify the personnel performing the work.
 Assign responsibility for various tasks.
 Identify energy isolations/lockout/tag outs that will be in effect for the work that is being
conducted.
 Verify adequate control over the return to normal operations.
 Ensure that only personnel authorized by the Permit participate in the work and no unauthorized
interference takes place.
 Participate in any Risk Assessment where required.
 Initiate the Permit and identify the hazards and control measures for the task being planned.
