    PROJECT Addressing the Difficulties of Students on Numerical Skills through
    TITLE PROJECT ARON (Academic Remediation through Operation on
    Numbers) ONLINE

    BACK     Project ARON was conceptualized in 2014. It was first
    -GROUND implemented in SY 2015-2016.Since then it has become a yearly
    activity of the Lagro High School Math Department. For five years, it
    has given additional help for students who have extreme difficulties
    in mastering mathematical computations.

      SY 2018-2019  139.9%
      SY 2019-2020  633% 

    OBJECTIVES At the end of the project, the selected Grade 7 students are expected
    to
    1.perform the four fundamental operations involving fractions and
    integers; 
    2.solve problems involving fractions and integers;
    3.increase their scores in the post test by 75%
    PRESENT       Diagnostic Test was conducted last January 15, 2021.The
    STATE diagnostic test was given by means of google forms. It is a 30-item
    test. 300 students from Grade 7 regular took the test. From each
    teacher, 10 students who got low scores were selected to be the
    participants. Since there are 6 teachers in the Grade 7, there are 60
    participants in the said project. The mean of the 60 students is 5.42.
    The following table shows the scores of the 60 participants in the 30-
    item diagnostic test.

    FUTURE The proposed solution is remedial class every Friday for one hour.
    STATE The topics to be discussed are the following.

    The interventions include pragmatic approaches and strategies


    adaptive to virtual learning modalities and blended learning
    modalities administering remedial class, communication and
    involvement of parents, workshop with parents about online
    platforms.
