DFMA® Network Integration

The DFMA software is typically installed as a standalone desktop client application. For floating licenses,
the DFMA License Manager utilizing FLEXlm is installed on a non-dedicated Windows network server.

DFMA libraries are installed on the client. Libraries modified with specific company information to be
shared among users can be installed and accessed on company networks. Completed analysis files are
also typically shared on networks.

Bill of material information can be imported as a text file into the DFA software via the DFA text import
wizard. Solid model geometry data can be imported into the DFMA software from STL, IGES and STEP
files. STEP files are preferred for full functionality.

Instead of locking our users into a proprietary format, our data is open so users can have the ability to
transparently access their data without needing our application. DFMA data is stored in individual XML
files, no database management tools are required.
