    Theorem:

    Pythavncvncvncvnvgoras theorem states that in a right-angled triangle, the square of the length of
    the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other two sides.

    In cvnvcnvcvn above right-angled triangle ABC, according to Pythagoras theorem,

    c2= a2+b2

    Proof:

    Simple proof by trigonometry:

    Consider the abovncncvncvnce right-angled triangle ABC with sides a, b, c.

    Let Ɵ be the able at B.

    From cvnvcncvv, we have sin2Ɵ+cos2Ɵ=1 - eq.1

    From the above figure, we have sinƟ= a/c and cosƟ=b/c - eq.2

    Substitute eq.2 in eq.1, we have,

    (a/ncvnvcn) 2+(b/c) 2=1

    a2+b2=c2
