1. The pandemic has bringing the new paradigm of work – employees can work
anytime and anywhere. Many good leaders, when presented with this reality
check, realise the unique challenges of their virtual role versus a typical
face-to-face work setting.

Explain how does this new norm give a challenge to human resource
management.

  Pandemik telah membawa paradigma baru kerja, pekerja boleh bekerja bila-bila masa
dan di mana sahaja. Banyak pemimpin yang baik, ketika dikemukakan dengan
kebiasaan kerja bersemuka mendapati cabaran unik dari peranan maya berbanding
suasana kerja bersemuka yang biasa.

Terangkan bagaimana norma baharu ini memberi cabaran pada pengurusan sumber


manusia.Sokong jawapan anda dengan contoh-contoh.

2. Strategic management is the process of matching a company’s internal


capabilities with the demands of its environment (external environment). As a
human resource senior manager discuss the seven (7) steps of strategic
management process. Provide an example for each step.

1. The question is about the discplinary issues at workplace.

(a) One of the employees at your company has been involved in a drug problem.
  As a manager, you need to take action. Discuss strategies to respond to
eliminate drug and alcohol related problems.

  full amount of their contributions? What are the options to withdraw under
the Retirement Withdrawal Scheme?

(a) Salah seorang pekerja di syarikat anda telah terlibat dalam masalah dadah.
  Sebagai pengurus, anda perlu mengambil tindakan. Bincangkan strategi untuk
bertindak balas untuk menghapuskan masalah berkaitan dadah dan alkohol.

     

(b) Bincangkan syarat-syarat yang mana ahli KWSP di benarkan mengeluarkan jumlah
penuh caruman/ sumbangan mereka?  Apakah pilihan untuk mengeluarkan
 
caruman di bawah Skim Pengeluaran Persaraan? Berikan cadangan bagaimana
kerajaan dapat meningkatkan skim tersebut.

2. During a meeting with your human resource director, he assigned you to collect
data on job’s duties, activities and responsibilities. Discuss five (5) most
important techniques for collecting job analysis data. Explain the advantages and
disadvantages for each of the techniques.

  Semasa pertemuan dengan pengarah sumber manusia, beliau meminta anda untuk
mengumpul data mengenai tugas, aktiviti dan tanggungjawab kerja. Bincangkan lima (5)
teknik yang paling penting untuk mengumpul data analisis pekerjaan. Terangkan
kelebihan dan kekurangan bagi setiap teknik tersebut.

3. According to a Gartner survey, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced 88% of


companies worldwide to practice working from home. Since COVID-19 has
restricted movement and induced social distancing, many global companies have
thought seriously about employee’s safety and health. 

Being an experienced human resource manager of a construction company, you


are required to prepare a detailed document that stipulates the duties and
responsibility of employers to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among employees.
Support your answer with examples.

  Menurut tinjauan Gartner, pendemik COVID-19 telah memaksa 88% syarikat serata
dunia untuk mengamalkan kerja dari rumah. Disebakan COVID-19 telah menghadkan
pengerakan dan mencetuskan penjarakan sosial, dan banyak syarikat global telah
berfikir secara serius mengenai keselamatan dan kesihatan pekerja.

Sebagai seorang pengurus sumber manusia yang berpengalaman di sebuah syarikat


pembinaan, anda telah diminta untuk menyediakan satu dokumen lengkap yang
menetapkan duti dan tanggungjawab majikan untuk mengelak penularan COVID-19 di
kalangan pekerja. Sokong jawapan anda dengan contoh-contoh.
