E Pluribus Unum

From scores of rituals and religions, restraints, and traditions

Distinct colorful colors and races, continents, and nations
Ever in search of love and freedom, they landed on a kindly terrain
They, of all varieties, gently unified to call themselves the Americans

Black and white, yellow and brown joined for a noble mission
While old held the ladder firm, young, plucked fruits of passion
The weak and the strong toiled together to share the nature’s yield
Disasters and deceases, failures, and defeats, as one they endured

Living in a new homeland they felt fortunate and were happy

But not all kindred left behind in the old countries were so lucky
The joy of American candor bit them with the envious pain
Harm to new homeland, vulgarly they whispered for no real gain

Surely, it was “E Pluribus Unum”, the motto of strength and vigor

Stood undeterred to help the unfortunates living wherever
Mother Earth salutes thee, America, for taking tender care of her
For kindly adopting me as one of thy lads, I thank thee forever
