EXCEPTION
POWERFUL !
We were more than 30,000 big apes in attendance for CLIMAX's
global warming to awake and shake Darwin's foundations. Darwin is
the emblematic cornerstone of Europe's ecological transition which
mobilises more than a million visitors every year.
INTENSE !
We are proud to have come through with the goods for this 4th edition
of the festival which was held at the Caserne Niel in Bordeaux. We
committed more than 40 hours of LIVE events, invited 50 NGOs, offered
food options that were 100% organic and vegetarian and we produced
more than 30 hours of conferences to promote public awareness on the
collapse of Biodiversity and the first victims of climate change...
INFLUENTIAL !
Bordeaux was in party mode over 4 days, thanks to vibrant speeches
that propelled this exceptional eco-mobilization. Magnetising moments
such as the implosion of a glass bottle during Dr. Jane Goodall's
conference while she was thinking about the issue of accessible
freshwater. Edgar Morin's 'Appel des Fraternités' had a national impact
especially thanks to publication 'Libération', which made its mark the
next day with the meeting of Morin / Goodall whose dialogue gave a
deeper meaning to the Climate March which took place on the Saturday.

AN ECO-FESTIVAL?
Speaking about climate is a good thing. Being consistent in our actions is better.
Especially when we call for mobilisation. We could pretend that everything is under
control with our ecological footprint. but we won't lie: no festival is irreproachable and
neither are we.
Here is how far we managed to push the boundaries (in order of increasing importance).

#DARWINCOALITIONS
TOGETHER FOR AN ARCHIPELAGO OF CONSCIOUSNESS
Through Darwin Coalitions we want to make our mobilization available for many collectives,
personalities and NGOs already committed to fighting issues common to our beliefs and ecological
values. Adaptation, a condition of life itself, is called for in these times of climatic chaos and biodiversity
erosion, in order to begin the necessary transition to resilient societies, in the face of a threatening
collapse. This is combined with an imperative frugality and sobriety of our individual and collective
ways of life. In this sense, the equitable sharing of resources, the pooling of means and the collaboration
between the parties of change are central to our approach. Finally, ecological justice and social justice
are intrinsically linked and we can not conceive one without the other.
Thus, we will regularly propose building coalitions with NGOs, legal professionals, activists, entrepreneurs,
researchers and citizens, in order to realise our commitment to the protection of ecosystems and the
fight against climate change.
According to this common cause, these coalitions will have the following objectives:
· To create new knowledge, to spread the fights already carried out by the defenders of nature
as well as to inspire and encourage the engagement through the new editions of the CLIMAX
festival, the CLIMAX Sessions and the Ocean CLIMAX events. During these popular gatherings,
we will be dedicated in providing visibility and sound power to the voices of nature, to those
who defend it and to the uprooted victims caused by climate change and the destruction of
ecosystems. Given the occasion, our speech will denounce the mortifying logic of large groups
of political inaction, but also affirm desirable solutions and projects. Thus, we will act as a
"sounding board" for vibrant causes (Le Biome, WildLife Angels, EZA, etc.) and participants
through alliances.
· Rewild, disseminate, pollinate, jump the walls through Banzai Darwin and CLIMAX Sessions
outside the Eco-system. Darwin Coalitions wishes to encourage the bringing together of
participants engaged in various struggles to constitute a real "archipelago of consciences".
· Accompany the participants of change, learn from their experience and resolve conflicts
that may emerge over the course of their exchanges, positions or envisaged struggles.
· Fight and resist by supporting struggles or calls to join them (areas to defend,
demonstrations, acts of nonviolent civil disobedience, etc.)
· To attack those responsible for the destruction of the world and defend through legal
means the ravaged ecosystems and people uprooted by the preying on of natural resources.

the MeDIA
CLIMAX : the media is not a new journalistic online
revue, it is not our intention. No journalists and no
newsroom. Our approach is humble and simple:
Respond to the many requests to relay information
regarding the climate and what surrounds it, and
especially compile the rich collection of interventions
provided by our guests for the Climax conferences.
