D. Answer the following questions.
1. Different views in Microsoft PowerPoint are:
Normal: It is the default view that is used to create and design a
presentation. It has three parts. The Slide Navigation pane displays
thumbnail-size images of all the slides. In this pane, you can move, add or
delete slides. The Slide pane displays an enlarged view of the current slide.
Here you can ass text, insert pictures, movies, sounds, and so on. The Notes
pane is used to type relevant notes in a particular slide in a presentation.
Outline View: This option is present in Presentation Views group of the
View tab. It shows the slide text in outline form. It allows to quickly edit
your slide text, and view the multiple slides at once.
Slide Sorter: The Slide sorter view is used to see all slides of the
presentation in miniature (small) form on the screen. It is helpful in adding,
deleting, and moving slides.
Reading View: This fills the PowerPoint window with the preview of the
presentation. You can navigate through your slides easily using the
navigation button.
Notes Page view: You can add notes to the slides in a presentation. Clicking
on the Notes page directs to a page view with slide in top half and a text box
below it to add notes. The important points that are added are known as

2. Animations are special effects that are added to text and objects on a slide. You
can make the text larger or smaller. You can make objects fly in from different
directions. You can even make them spin or fade out. All these special effects
help to draw the attention of the audience towards the important points on a slide.
To apply an animation effect, follow these steps.
Select the text or object you want to animate. Click on Animations tab.
In the Animation group, click the More button to display all animation
effects. You can choose any effect that you want.
Objects on the same slide to which animation is being added will be
numbered 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on.
You can add one or more animations to an object and also time it.
3. You can specify how to move from one slide to the next during a slide show. This
motion effect is called transition. You can control the speed of transitions. You
can also add sound to them. A transition makes a presentation attractive and
interesting.

4. An action button is a built-in shape that creates a button on a slide. You can
define the action to be done by the button when it is clicked. It helps to connect to
a web page, another file, email address or slide.

5. You can navigate between the slides during a slide show by pressing the arrow
keys on the keyboard or the Enter key.
