MAXIMUM Continuous 350ºC (644ºF) MAXIMUM PIPE/WORKPIECE TEMPERATURES
EXPOSURE Intermittent 425ºC (797ºF)
The surface of the heater must not exceed the
TEMPERATURE maximum withstand temperature of its
MINIMUM OPERATING -65ºC* (-85ºF) constructional materials or the Temperature
TEMPERATURE: Classification (if installed in a hazardous area).
This is ensured by limiting the pipe or workpiece
MINIMUM INSTALLATION -40ºC (-40ºF) temperature to a safe level either by design
TEMPERATURE: calculation (a Stabilised Design) or by means of
TEMPERATURE See workpiece temperature temperature controls.
CLASSIFICATION: table. For worst case conditions, the temperature of steel
pipes should be limited to the following levels:-
