ACI Mix-Design Group Problem 2

This document provides an example of an ACI mix design procedure for a concrete mix. It includes the following key steps: 1) Specify required properties - 7,000 psi compressive strength, 3-4 in. slump, max aggregate size of 3/4 in. 2) Determine materials - cement, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate properties are given. 3) Estimate water/cement ratio from tables to achieve required strength, then calculate cement content based on water/cement ratio. The document walks through estimating coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, and adjusting for moisture contents to complete the mix design.
