GUIDELINES
Effective from July 20, 2020
Sophos is committed to rewarding our partners for investing in,
developing, and managing sales opportunities. We offer a process
to register new opportunities and eligible upgrades which gives
a significant competitive advantage and a higher discount.

QUALIFICATION AND GUIDELINES

Deal registration is eligible for new business and eligible upgrades that meet
the requirements set out below.

“New business” is defined as

 New customer to Sophos that purchases a Core Product or,
 An existing customer purchasing a new Core Product
 A new Core appliance opportunity for an existing customer.

“Eligible upgrades” are defined as

 An existing customer upgrading to a new Core Product.
NOTE: Renewals for the same product (straight renewals) are not eligible for deal registration.
 Core Products can be found in the Sophos price book and can be modified or expanded
at Sophos’ sole discretion without further notice.

REQUIREMENTS
 New business and eligible upgrades must either meet the regional threshold
or include a minimum of one mid-market/enterprise SKU (not applicable in all regions).
Regional thresholds are calculated in local currency.
 Thresholds are calculated on the MSRP value of the given opportunity or the given product.
Details on regional thresholds and eligible SKUs and rules specific for your region are included
at the end of this document.
 The deal registration discount applies to the line item associated with the Core Product
that has been registered.
 One deal registration per Core Product within the customer is permitted.
 Deal registration will be awarded to the partner who finds and identifies the new opportunity
or eligible upgrade. In cases where Sophos discovers the opportunity, Sophos may, in its sole
discretion, award deal registration to the partner who can invest in ongoing activity to support
the customer.
 All deal registration approvals are valid for 90 days. Requests for extensions may be approved
in Sophos’ sole discretion if all requirements are met. Extension requests can be submitted
to the partner’s channel team before expiration.
 Requests for Proposal (RFP) are ineligible for deal registration.
 Sophos reserves the right to accept or deny a request for deal registration in its sole discretion,
including but not limited in cases where an opportunity is already registered with a different
partner, or duplicate submission for one opportunity occurred.
 Sophos reserves the right to terminate/revoke an existing deal registration if a partner fails
to demonstrate significant, ongoing involvement in the customer account and provide
consistent updates to Sophos.

SUBMISSION
 Deal registrations can be submitted on the Sophos Partner Portal, through the Sophos
Channel team, through the regional deal desk (where available), or on the Sophos Mobile App.

 The following criteria must be provided to process requests for deal registration.
All information must be included in the submission. Sophos reserves the right to reject the
deal registration submission or approve a submission from another partner should
the information not be complete.
 Company name, primary address, zip code, and main phone number
 Primary contact’s name and contact information (phone, email)
 Product
 Expected close date (estimated)
 Number of users/employees of the customer
All personal data will be handled in accordance with the Sophos Group Privacy Policy available
at: www.sophos.com/en-us/legal/sophos-group-privacy-policy.aspx.
 Deal registration approvals generate an automatic notification to the partner. In the event
the deal registered opportunity was approved in error, the approval status will be corrected
in Sophos’s system and the partner will be notified that the registered discount will not apply.
 Partners will usually be notified via email of the approval or rejection of their request for deal
registration within five (5) business days.
 Sophos reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the deal registration offering
at any time. All decisions by Sophos regarding partner or discount eligibility are made
in Sophos’s sole discretion and are final.
