    IFO SERIES

    INTERNALLY-FED ROTARY SCREENS

    FEATURES IFO Series


    Seri of Internally-fed Rotary Screens have cylindrical drums mounted
    horizontally on four shaft-mounted wheels. The drum rotates at 4-5 rpm and
    • 304 stainless steel construction
    is driven by a top-mounted, TEFC motor, geardrive, stainless steel chain and
    • 4 inch tube frame
    sprocket. The IFO/P series screening element is a perforated drum with
    • splash guards 14 gauge openings ranging from 1/16 to 3/8 inch diameter, and the IFO/W series
    • top-mounted, helical, TEFC motor screening element is a wedgewire drum with slot openings ranging from 0.010
    and geardrive to 0.100 inches. The screen is supported on a tubular frame and is typically
    • stainless steel roller chain applied to flume waters.

    internal roller bearings METHOD OF OPERATION
    • influent spillway The influent enters a short spillway, which extends into the interior of the drum,
    • internal flights where the flow is distributed onto the sidewalls of the drum. The solids are
    • external spray bar retained on the screen surface as the liquid flows radially through the openings.
    Splash guards direct the liquid filtrate to a central drainage area, and the solids
    OPTIONS are transported axially, by flights, to the open end of the drum. The rotation of
    the drum allows the entire screening surface to be continuously, or intermittently
