Narrative Report on Gardening

Gardening is the activity of tending and cultivating a garden, especially

as a pastime. It is also define as the practice of growing and cultivating plants as
part of horticulture. In gardens, ornamental plants are often are often grown for
their flowers, foliage, or overall appearance; useful plants, such as root
vegetables, leaf vegetables, fruits, and herbs, are grown for consumption, for use
as dyes, or for medical or cosmetic use. Gardening is considered by many people
to be relaxing activity.

Gardening is always an excellent and environment friendly idea and if

you can go for sustainable gardening then it will be even more useful for all.
Growing your own food is always helps. Gardening is a favorite hobby for many,
just like me. Gardening is the time to channelize your hobby to towards a
meaningful motive. And for coincidence, our teacher in LTS required us to have
gardening as one of the requirements need to be complied on her subject
handled. Since I love gardening, for me it's a win win opportunity. I plant for our
food, and for the same time I gain grades for requisite.
September 10, I conduct a self brainstorming. What kind of
vegetables or crops should I plant? What kind of crops can I plant wherein I can
harvest it before or day before final exam since the submission of narrative report
on gardening is in finals? After an hour of self brainstorming, I asked a suggestion
from my mom. I asked her what's the best plant I can implant at this season. She
suggested that I can implant peanuts since September is the season for planting it
and if my final is on December, its the right time for me to harvest the peanut
considering that it takes 3 months before harvesting. So I decided to plant
peanuts considering my moms' explication. And ofcourse, I also consinder its
benefits. We all know that peanut is good for the brain, and since that I am now
studying and I am poor in memorization, peanuts is good for me. After deciding
what will I plant, I look for a vacant area wherein I can start my gardening project.

DAY 1: UPROOTING WEEDS TO START MY PLANNED GARDENING

September 15, 2020 8:00 o'clock in the morning, i decided to start

uprooting the weeds on the chosen area for my
planned gardening. I struggled in certain
because it is too muddy since it rains everyday.
It takes me 2 hours to finish uprooting weeds. I
finished around 10:00 o'clock morning, soon to
noon.
DAY 2: SOAKED PEANUTS OVERNIGHT

September 16, Wednesday, I

soaked the peanuts overnight so that it
can easily sprout or germinate. (Based
from my mother's experience in planting
peanuts)

DAY 3: CULTIVATING SOIL AND IMPLANTING PEANUTS AFTER

September 17, the morning after soaking the peanuts, I prepared the
area where I am going to plant the peanuts. I cultivated the soil and created 3
rows for it.
On the first week, you'll notice some
growing peanuts. It grows for about 1.5 inches
tall. And as the days goes by, it grows taller and
taller. Now that it is about 3 weeks after planting,
it is now 4 inches in tall.
