Understanding and acquiring knowledge of the industry practices which includes equipment datasheets, PFDs, P&IDs, etc. • How do organization/ they plan day to day and future plans. The work is being planned in a structured manner. The company is divided into two major divisions- Linde Engineering and Linde Gases. Linde Engineering takes on the responsibilities of developing and optimizing gas processing, separation and liquefaction technologies that maximize plant lifecycle productivity, efficiency and service life and Linde Gas takes the responsibilities related to production and distribution of industrial gases worldwide. So accordingly things are planned in a manner that includes the financial budget planning, production planning and services planning. • Who takes decision? Higher Management takes the decisions, i.e CEO, CFO, CMO etc • Type of organization structure- The organization is Headed by Steve Angel, CEO. Under him comes the Executive VP. Then the hierarchy goes like Head & MD of Different Regions across the globe, President, Vice- President of the respective country, Management Level Employee like the Managers, Technical Employee like the Engineers, Contractual Employee like the Operators. • How many employees working under them? 74, 207 • Are you satisfied in the current job? If Yes why? No Why? Yes. Being an engineer, one usually aspires to be in the best of the core companies. Linde is one of the best in the chemical industry and I feel proud to be working for the same. • Is team members approachable? Yes they are. • How do they analyze performance of employees? By regularly monitoring through daily reports of the work done in the day

They make plans on a heirarchial manner, for the financial year which is broken down into H1 H2 planning which is further broken down into quarterly plans. ● Who takes decision? Decisions are taken in the board of directors and branch down into the various groups that the company is divided into ( core A , coreB and core C) - each core manages different software products and have multiple departments comprising of sales , marketing , engineering etc. ● Type of organization structure - Top level : ceo staff ( Bedford , Massachusetts ) EX: CFO, CEO , CIO - VP of every function ( customer success , tech support, demand generation , engineering, product marketing etc) - Management level ( leads various teams and reports to VP) - individual contributors ( engineers, software developers, sales teams etc) ● How many employees working under them? 1500 employees in 18 offices around the globe ● Are you satisfied in the current job? Since teams are divided amongst multiple geographies, there exists a lack of work life balance but for most tech workers , the payscale is phenomenally high. ● Is team members approachable? Varies from person to person, some are very approachable and some are not. ● How do they analyze performance of employees? Performance analysis is different for different departments, for sales it might be sales quotas, for engineering it usually is tickets resolved / tasks completed for sprints ● What are the motivational factors adopted by the organization? Yearly salary appraisals, trust amongst employees on the leadership to take good initiatives, Company uses a third party software called praise ( globoforce) to openly praise employees that did good - emails are sent to every employee intimating them about who got praised and a praised individual gets points which he/ she can use to buy stuff ● How do you communicate with co-workers? Board meetings that includes the senior manager from all the different domains and the CEO where they discuss the issues and lay out plan for each day to ensure smooth running of each and every depts. • Who takes decision? The top level management. But functional decision can also be taken by the department heads. • Type of organization structure: Hierarchical Structure • How many employees working under them? 300 • Are you satisfied in the current job? If Yes why? No Why? Yes. The outcome is quite good and the employees are very diligent in completing their tasks. • Is team members approachable? Yes. Quite approachable. • How do they analyze performance of employees? By regularly monitoring the performance of the targets met by the employees. • What are the motivational factors adopted by the organization? Added incentives and bonuses with the completion of the given target.

Mostly face to face. Proper face to face communication with the middle level managers. And the middle level managers communicate it to the low level management. • Overall, out of five, how many marks would you like to give about your organization 4.5/5
