A general introduction to the MCS Platinum system will be given. This
includes to learn about the components, interaction between components
and main functions of the system.

➢ Power supply and distribution of components Cabinet and System

➢ Man Machine Interface
1.4 Input and Output channels: I/O Channel List
➢ Alarms Connection diagram
➢ Indications Monitoring channel list
➢ Controls Mimic diagrams
Part 2: Training aboard the vessel
Based on the introduction given before, the trainees will be introduced to
handle the system, identify the components and know where they could
be find. Furthermore special functions will be explained. Trainees will have
the opportunity to work with the system.
2.1 On workstation:
➢ Handle the screen windows: Mimics, lists, diagrams, etc.;
navigation tree
➢ Time and date adjustment
➢ Alarm acknowledge
➢ Changing parameters; alarm suppression, simulating, etc.;
