Description
● This course offers a comprehensive array of
materials that Adult students can use to practice
their Oral English.

● The following books is encouraged after student


assessment has been done prior to lesson proper.
This course helps the student
● Participate contemporary issues that concerns life.

● Learn words and phrases for situations

● Communicate with more confidence and fewer errors

● Improve their holistic spoken ability

Class flow and guide
● Preparation (Must familiarize the Issues)
● Warm-up:
- Greetings
- Mini-Interview (purpose, goal - learning outcome)
- Assessment
● Opening The class and establishing Rapport
- Small Talk or:
- Introduce The Lesson
● Lesson Proper (Activities in the Book [reading])
● Feedback (Points to improve on/ Specific ways to
improve)
● Post class (May share books if needed)
Warm-up
- Assess the student’s level, need and preferences
through the assessor’s notes

● Review Previous Lesson (if applicable)

● Initiate small talk related to the topic.

● Probe the student and SUGGEST appropriate terms or


phrases when needed.

- CORRECTION: Write mistakes in chat box or


suggestions. Do not make verbal corrections if
not necessary.

passage. Do not let the student read if they don’t
want.
● (You may suggest reading if student’s goal is
comprehension and vocabulary)

● Teach the language points through demonstration.

the student and provide constructive feedback.

- Provide suggestions or advice in overcoming these

Mastering the American Accent
● This book is designed to diminish the accents of
men and women who speak English as their second
language. It will help them speak standard American
English with clarity, confidence, and accuracy.
● Suitable for Advanced (level 6) students.
Mastering the American Accent
● Specific exercises concentrate on vowel sounds,
problematic consonants such as V, W, B, TH, and the
American R, employ correct syllable stress, link
words for smoother speech flow, use common word
contractions such as won't instead of will not, and
more.
