Argumentative Essay
The covid-19 disease is an infectious disease spreading rapidly worldwide and led
more than 2.67 million Malaysians to be infected, and about 30 thousand patients have
died in Malaysia. Covid-19 vaccines are provided to reduce the number of Covid-19
confirmed cases and death cases. Therefore, all Malaysians should be compulsory to get
the Covid-19 vaccines for two reasons.
Firstly, vaccination can help Malaysians reduce the risk of getting and spreading
the Covid-19 virus. Vaccination can protect them from being infected and spreading the
virus when they interact by producing antibodies in vaccinated people's bodies to fight
against the Covid-19 virus. A study shows that vaccines can reduce the chance of Covid-
19 virus transmission by 40% to 60%. When people are infected with the viruses,
infectious viruses in vaccinated people's mouth and nose are less than unvaccinated
people, and it is less likely to transfer to others.
Many people claim that Malaysians will still be affected by Covid-19 after taking
the vaccine. To be fair, the Covid-19 vaccine cannot prevent infection by 100%.
However, Malaysians must be vaccinated to prevent them from causing more severe
consequences. People can get better protection with full-dose vaccination. Unvaccinated
people are twice as likely to be infected with Covid-19 disease as fully vaccinated people.
According to the research data, fully vaccinated people can effectively prevent severe
illness, ICU hospitalization, and death.
