PRE-REQUISITE : ARCHITECTURAL VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS 4 – VISUAL TECHNIQUES 1
COURSE DESCRIPTION : An introduction to the study of color as a form giver: psychology of
color: theories of light and color; scientific and aesthetic considerations of color, study and exercise on the i\use
of color as a presentational tool; architectural presentations and outdoor color rendering using appropriate
techniques in color mixing and application and various media such as watercolor, color pencil, etc.

II. COURSE OBJECTIVES


GENERAL OBJECTIVES : To let the student experience exercises that will introduce him/ her to
architectural rendering and presentation tools.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES : At the end of the term, the students should be able to:
1. To learn the different theories on flight and color and its significance in architecture.
2. To find out the different types of media used for architectural presentations.
3. To understand the various techniques and strategies on how to manipulate watercolor as an
architectural presentation tool.
4. To understand the various techniques and strategies on how to manipulate color pencil as an
architectural presentation tool.
5. To be able to submit a portfolio of finished works.
