guys sa 17 po kasi db .75 naman tlaga ang percentage
but think of this,ang hinahanap ay in decimal form not in percentage kaya convert it into decimal
then i’ve got 0.0075.

 Q17 is percent to decimal, 3/4% = 75%, the answer should be .0075
Q19 is fraction to decimal, the answer is 0.25

3/4% is also 75% so it means 75% is 0.75.
just like 1% is 0.01.. 10% is .10 .. and so on..



solution:
 1. 3/4% convert first the fraction to decimal: 0.75% is the answer
2. covert the 0.75% note: still in percentage format so we going convert again to decimal.
0.75/100 = 0.0075.

x= orig. price
y= value of 20% discount
1) To get the value of 20% discount:
x (20%) = y or x(0.2) = y
2) To get the orig. price:
x = 2,450 + y
3) substitute the value of y from the 1st equation:
x= 2,450 + (x(0.2))

x-x(0.2)= 2,450

0.8x = 2,450

0.8x / (0.8) = 2,450 / (0.8)

===>>>>> x= 2,450/0.8
or
x= 2,450/ 80%

find the original price:

Equation OP = DP / P

=2,450 (Discounted Price) / 80% or 0.80 (Percent without Discount)

= 3,062.5 (Original Price)

The question is, where 80% comes from?

–> from 100%(standard) – 20%(discounted) = 80% (not discounted)

sol’n is:

if x=8:
4x-2y=28 – “replace x with 8” bcos the problem says x=8
4(8)-2y=28 – “multiply 4 to 8”
32-2y=28 – “Transpose 32 to the other side”
2y=28-32 – “the transposed 28 would be converted to -28”
2y=2 – “divide 2y and 2 with 2 to cancel 2y”
y=2 – “answer is 2

grabe nakaka nosebleed naman yong mga underlined words nila haha tsaka ang bilis ng oras.. 1st
time ko yun di kasi ako nakapag review kasi marami nagsabi madali lang daw yun pala lahat

Another concern lang po, number 17. Sa answer key po, 0.0075. Pero di po magcoincide sa
explaination. if 3/4% is = to 75% or 75/100 then it should be 0.75? Tama po ba?

0.0075 is the correct answer because, 3/4 = 0.75 . then, to get the percentage, divide it by 100
. so, 0.75/100 = 0.0075 .

16 ang lcd kasi yan ang pwede mo gamitin na denomnator sa tatlo pag i add or subtract… 4
cant be on 1/8 and 1/16

helow po .I’m planning to take civil service exam .that’s why I started to review 1taker .kahit
hindi man po yan ang lalabas Sa exam okey lng kasi nagbigay po kayo ng idea on hw to solve
it .ang mahalaga naishare nyo po yung kaalaman niyo. At ipinagpapasa diyos ko nlang ang

3/4% is equal to 0,75% beacause 3/4 is equivalent 75/100 or 0.75 , thats why when you
transpose3/4% to decimal form you can get o.oo75..

just like for example:

3 and 3/4% is equivalent to 3.75% so when you transpose it to decimal form, you can get
0.0375…

thats what i understand in number 17 🙂

di ba ganito gagawin sa number 18?

Example: Express 62.5% as a fraction

Step 1: Write down:

62.5/100

Step 2: Multiply both top and bottom by 10 (because there is 1 digit after the decimal place)

62.5/100 = 625 /1,000

(See how this neatly makes the top a whole number?)

Step 3: Simplify the fraction (this took me two steps, you may be able to do it one!) :

625 /1,000 = 25/40 = 5/8

Answer = 5/8

Hi, just a clarification,

RE: 17. What is the decimal form of ¾ %?

Answer: .0075 because ¾ is 75 percent or 75/100.

Manually, I got 3.) .75.

To check using calculator and excell conversion, I was correct.
75 divided by 100 is also .75.

Why is your answer .0075? Have you divided it again over 100?

3/4 is equal to 0.75
thus, 3/4% is 0.75%
converting fraction by moving decimal point to the left 2 times..
you will get 0.0075.

3/4 percent is different from 3/4 as fraction.
3/4=75 percent
while 3/4 percent = .75 percent

Tama po ang approach niyo pero express as fraction ang tanong..although yung example niyo
na 62.5 percent to fraction. Ang approach ko jan since na 62.5 percent is equal to .625 as
decimal pwede po na 62.5/100 same as .625

#18 same po..

3.4percent =.o34
So pwede na 3.4/100 same as .034
