There are a number of people who choose to be employed than putting up a business. This is
because of several reasons. One of these reasons is most people are raised to be an employee. The words
“Study well for you to get a job and earn a decent amount of money” has always been the words of the
parents since we were young, thus, this creates a mindset that we should just get a decent paying job to be
rich. Although we can’t say that this idea is completely wrong, however, because of this mentality, people
often avoid risking in putting up a business and just look for jobs.
One of the reasons why people do not engage with business is that they are afraid to take the first
step. Even in writing a paragraph, the first sentence is the hardest because you don’t know where to start.
Same idea goes with business. People are afraid to risk their time, money, and effort over something that
does not give assurance of success. The risk of putting up a business is big and not everyone is willing to
take the risk.
Sometimes even though we put our all, effort, passion, and time in a business or even in anything
we do, it does not always result to we expect it to. However, that does not define the end or the result of
the business. It is just a part that teaches us lessons which we can use to make better judgement, thus
making a good decision. Failure teaches us a lot of things which helps us succeed in the future. Slowly
learning from those mistakes and applying those are like steppingstones towards success. At the end of
the day, it is how you take that failures will lead you to success.
One key determinant that would define a business’ success is your character. This is because
putting up a business is not easy. You will encounter a lot of difficulties, problems, and even failure.
However, if you take these as an inspiration to do better, a wood that will enhance the fire that’s within
you, these hardships will be your key to success. Thus, a good business owner should not be easily
swayed by any failures or hardships that will come on the way. Although, it is truly not easy take always
positively and be openminded specially if other people suggest something, these will tell you where to
improve. That small experience will be the steppingstone towards success.
Business is not about yourself at all, Although, yes, the start of the business is because of passion
and to earn decent amount of money. However, for a business to succeed, a business owner must learn to
take good care of his/her customers. A business owner must be good with dealing with people. We need
to remember that the customers are the main reason why a business is founded, without good relations
with people, a business owner might not be successful. This good relationship will attract more loyal
customers which is a vital help in a business’ success.
The first thing that you should consider in putting up a business is that it should be in line with
what you are passionate about. We should keep in mind that business is not just for fun and that there will
come a time that it will become tiring and that the only thing that will be left is your passion about it. We
all know that putting up a business is not easy but at least it would be a little better if we love what we are
doing. At the end of the day, when we become tired, we can go back to why we have started that business
in the first place. Your passion will bring back the motivation to continue what you are doing.
