    According to Mr Rodrigo that do not create conflict between nationalism and religion, between our

    government and the church because lots of Filipino are Catholics. And I think Mr Rodrigo was against
    that all filipino should read and to have knowledge about Noli Me tangere and El filibusterismo because
    those novels contains about religion and being nationalist. But Mr. Soc says that having love in own
    country and at the same time have faith in religion is like loving our own parents that guide us to live.
    However Senator Jose P Laurel say's that all Filipino MUST be read Dr Jose Rizal works especially Noli Me
    Tangere and El filibusterismo because it reflects on the life of every person even in the present time.
    That's why having knowledge on Rizal novels, people will learn and prepare theirselves on whatever
    they were facing in the future that lead in hope and freedom. According to Senator Claro M Recto, Dr
    Rizal works is focused on making Filipino to have civic consciousness, national dignity, personal pride
    and patriotism and also the certain religious practices in the Philippines in those days, especially the bad
    side of some priests of the Catholic Church because he just narrate on what happening in that time that
    portrayed the general situation of our country. So all of that, the two senators wants all filipino to be
    prepared to all whatever general situation we were facing in the future and be inspired to have national
    dignity because of knowledge we have in Rizal works. For me these 3 statements have their own point
    to support and oppose the Rizal Bill because we have different opinions, suggestions and beliefs about
    Dr. Rizal's novels
