Acting career
Sink was born in Brenham, Texas. She has three older brothers and a younger sister.
Among her first professional acting roles were in plays at the Hobby Center for the Performing
Arts in Houston during the 2011-2012 season. She performed in musical productions of Irving
Berlin's White Christmas and in the starring role in Annie. She made her Broadway debut in the fifth
grade as part of the original cast of the Annie revival. While still starring in the play, she appeared in
the Emmy-winning series The Americans as Lana.
In 2015, she co-starred with Helen Mirren in The Audience on Broadway, as young Elizabeth II.[3]
She also had a small role in Chuck as Kimberly.[6]
While filming the drama movie The Glass Castle, she became very close with Woody Harrelson and
particularly with his daughter, Makani. She was already a vegetarian, but Harrelson and his family
inspired her to become a vegan.[6]
In 2017, in the Netflix original Stranger Things, She played Maxine "Max" Mayfield, a skateboarder
with an abusive stepbrother.
