Step 1: Change terms of payment for Customer


Step 2: Create Customer Invoice

Step 3: Display Customer Balances
What does the red icon under Clearing status of items mean?
 The transaction is displaying the Open Items marked with red in the status column.
There is no clearing document for the moment, because this document will
be cleared as per the date from Net due date column when the invoice will be paid. 
Step 4: Post an Incoming Payment

Note: If you haven’t written down the document number, you can later find the document
by using the Display Customer Balances app. Enter your customer, your company code
US00 and your current fiscal year. Confirm with Enter .

What do you notice about the document number when comparing to the Accounts
Receivable invoice entry document number?
 Based on our works when comparing to our Accounts Receivable invoice entry, it is
all sequential based on the last three digits of our number. But, in the document
numbers in posting payments are not sequential.

Step 5: Display the Customer Balances
What does the green icon under Clearing status of items mean?
 The green represents the status of the customer’s balances. it is green,
the item shown as "closed" because the company already receive the
customer’s payment.

Step 6: Scenario 1 Cancel the Invoice

Look for the line Trade Accounts receivables. What amount is displayed
to you?
 1,333,016.00 USD – Period Balance
What amount is displayed to you?
 1,316,516.00 USD – Period Balance
Where does the difference to the previous step come from?
 The difference between the trade receivable from the previous step is, it
is much lower than the previous step. It is came from the cancelled
invoice document for the trade receivable account.
Step 7: Scenario 2 Change the Invoice Assignment
Explain the difference to step 7.1:
 It became all red considering that red means there is no clearing document for the
moment, because this document will be cleared as per the date from Net due date
column when the invoice will be paid. 
Describe what happened:
 Considering that there’s an error due to that I had mistakenly assigned the payment
received by my customer.
