BIOTIC AND ABIOTIC FACTORS IN AN ECOSYSTEM
The biotic components are the living factors of an ecosystem. Plants, animals, fungus,
and microbes are among these factors. These biotic components can be further divided
based on their energy need source. Producers, consumers, and decomposers are the
three basic groups of biotic components.
The plants that make up the ecosystem are known as producers.
Herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores are all potential consumers.
The saprophytes, which are fungi and bacteria, are decomposers.
Abiotic factors are physical and/or chemical variables that affect on living organisms at
any point in their lives. These are also referred to as ecological factors. Physical and
chemical components are characteristics of the environment. Abiotic factors of an
ecosystem include light, air, soil, and nutrients, among other things.
Ecology is the study of the interactions between biotic and abiotic elements. They
interact with one another to keep the ecosystem in appropriate balance. The niche of
each creature is determined by how that organism responds and reacts to the
distribution and availability of abiotic elements.
