CBMS Council Resolution No. 06, Series of 2021

APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE PROVINCIAL AND


CITY/MUNICIPAL CBMS COORDINATING BOARDS AND THEIR
TERMS OF REFERENCE

WHEREAS, Republic Act No 1 1315 otherwise known as


Community-Based Monitoring System Act (CBMS Act)was enacted on 17
April 2019, institutionalizing the conduct of the Community-Based
Monitoring System (CBMS) in every city and municipality in the country;

WHEREAS, Section 14 ol the Act provides for the creation of the


CBMS Council composed of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA),
Department of the lnterior and Local Government (DILG) and Department
of lnformation and Communications Technology (DICT), to be headed by
the PSA, for purposes of achieving secure and efficient data sharing
arrangements between and among concerned cities and municipalities
and national government agencies to be used for their particular social
protection and welfare programs and projects;

WHEREAS, the CBMS will be a nationwide undertaking that


requires cooperation of all government and private entities to ensure
smooth flow of the CBMS operations at all geographic and administrative
levels;

WHEREAS, the CBMS Council deemed it necessary to establish


CBMS Coordinating Boards at the provincial and city/municipal levels,

WHEREAS, the Provincial and City/Municipal CBMS Coordinating


Boards {PtCtM CCBs) will be responsible in overseeing the CBMS
operations in their respective locality, ensuring logistic and other
requirements are in place prior and during the CBMS operations, ?nd
resolving issues and concerns encountered in the conduct of CBMS in
their jurisdiction;

NOW, THEREFORE BE lT RESOLVED, that the CBMS Council
approves the establishment of the PICIM CCBs, with composition and
terms of reference as provided in CBMS CR 06-20210526-01 ;

APPROVED, this 26 day of May 2021 in Quezon City, Metro Manila.
