Narrative Report

August 23, 2021

Day 1
To ensure a cleaner and classrooms conducive for learning parents,
teachers, PTAs, BODs and other stakeholders joined hand in hand in
participating the School Maintenance week also known as Brigada
Eskwela in preparation for the opening of school year 2021-2022 with
the theme: “Bayanihan para sa Paaralan”.

On the first day of Brigada Eskwela, August 27, 2021, as part of the
advocacy program, motorcade started at 7:00 am to disseminate the
information. This was led by Ma’am Mary O. Plaza, School Principal of
Trento West Central Elementary SPED Center, Trento II District together
with the parents, teachers, PTAs, BODs, and other stakeholders. Parade
was routed from Trento West Central SPED Center to Trento Public
Market, then Purok 5A and back to school.

Flyers were also given to disseminate the information about the


Brigada Eskwela.
Afterwards, the opening program
started at TWCES center stage. It began with an
opening prayer by Pstr. Keobs A. Castillo followed by the singing of
Philippine National Anthem conducted by Ma’am Harriet F. Tagud,
Master Teacher II. Ma’am Mary O. Plaza, Principal II, gave his words
of welcome. Then the statement of purpose was explained by Ma’am
Glory Fe P. Estorba, Brigada Eskwela chairperson. Finally, Sir
Napthaly Plaza discussed the mechanics of implementation, daily task
to be done and groupings for specific jobs to be performed by
volunteers.
The main highlights of the 1st day of Brigada
Eskwela were Gulayan sa Paaralan or the School's Vegetable Garden
and cutting grasses on the school ground.
Volunteers were then offered free snacks after rendering
their services.
Record of attendance revealed that 263 volunteers were able to
accomplish their assigned tasks, a combination of 198 parents, 11 BODs,
32 4P’s, and 22 IP’s volunteers.

Overall, the opening program was successful. The goal was


achieved through the collaborative efforts of parents, teachers,
stakeholders and to our supportive principal Ma’am Mary O. Plaza. It
turned to understand the real essence of Brigada Eskwela. It turned out
that stakeholders and volunteers were able to understand more clearly
the reason for Brigada Eskwela initiative, and it is nothing but for good,
and for the sake of the learners.
