Simple Past Tense
We use the simple past to talk about a situation that finished in the past.

e.g. :
-I lived with my grandparents last summer.
-Did men have long hair in the 1960s?
Simple Past Tense
We use the simple past when one thing happens after another in the past.

e.g. :
-We arrived at the airport at eleven o’clock and took a taxi to the hotel.
-Then we went to the café and had a drink, but we didn’t eat anything.
