CHAPTER I

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Ever since we started integrating technology in education, devices like mobile phone a
key role. Mobile phone have become a necessity for many people throughout the world. The
ability to keep in touch in your studies and access information are only a few of the reasons
for the increasing importance of mobile phones. Today’s technically advanced mobile phone
are capable of not only receiving and placing phone calls, but also storing data, taking
pictures and can even be used to gather information like Google. Using dictionary and
capable of internet access such as sending and receiving files.

In addition this time New Normal we as an students ,we choose this topic to address
those gaps between using mobile phones and study habits of Senior High School of Don
Benito Agro - Industrial High School in away that we need to considered our self to be digital
natives. Digital Native are describes a young person who has grown up in the digital age, in
close contact with computers, the internet, and video game consoles, and later mobile phones,
social media, and tablets.

The study, aims to understand The Effect of Mobile Phone in the Study Habits of Grade
12 during this COVID - 19 Pandemic, deals with same factors that we gathered along the way
of this study which many students concern with the way they can improve their academic
performance using mobile phone.
