PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
General: The Maxi-Clean Screen filtration system shall remove suspended solids down to 75 microns
(depending on screen mesh selection) from the water source. The filter system is shipped
assembled and shall include filter housing, screen cartridge assembly, flush valve, and liquid
filled stainless steel pressure gauge with three-way valve. Screen mesh shall be selected at
time of specification and is available in (40, 80,100,150, and 200 mesh sizes.) Pressure drop
through the filter at maximum rated flow shall not exceed 3 psi.
Filter The filter housing shall be fabricated of carbon steel and be lined with 3M Scotchkote 134
Housing: fusion bonded epoxy. The filter housing shall feature a safety lock, cast eye bolt lid closure
assembly and shall be able to be opened for access to the cartridge assembly without the
use of hand tools. The filter is available in 2", 3", 4", 6" and 8" inlet/outlet sizes. Directional
flow arrows shall be provided on the product to assure proper installation. Maximum standard
operating pressure shall be 100 psi (higher pressure available).
Piping: The filter assembly shall be provided with flanged or grooved carbon steel inlet and outlet
connections. The filter system piping to the irrigation system shall be sandblasted and fusion
epoxy lined with 3M Scotchkote 134 fusion bonded epoxy. "Wet applied" epoxy coating
systems are not acceptable as an environmental coating.
Pressure Gauge & The filter assembly shall be provided with a pressure gauge and 3-way ball valve for visual
3-Way Ball Valve monitoring of operating pressure and pressure differential.
Flush Valves & The filter assembly shall be provided with a manual flush brass ball valve installed on the filter
Filter Flushing flush port. The filter shall feature a flushing capability for removal of heavy suspended solids.
The filter shall utilize the flushing action of the filter for dirt removal without the use of moving
parts. The filter cartridge shall be removable for inspection of the filter cartridge and for manual
service needs.
Screen Filter The filter cartridge shall be constructed of non-corrosive polymeric material. The cartridge
Cartridge: shall feature filtration through ID to OD flow through the filter cartridge. The cartridge shall
utilize "U" channel end seals on the cartridge ends to secure the filtration screen fabric to the
cartridge and to seal the cartridge assembly. The fine filtration mesh shall be non-metallic
polypropylene available in 40, 80,100,150 or 200 mesh. All screen mesh fabric shall be
replaceable through disassembly of the cartridge (no tools required) and replacement of the
polypropylene fabric sleeve. The polypropylene screen mesh shall be supported in the
cartridge by use of a polyethylene intermediate weave which provides for full screen surface
