    Grammar. Verb to be (Verbo ser o estar)
    Affirmative + (Is-Are-Am). Se forma con el pronombre y verbo to
    be
    Subject+ verb be
    I am= Yo soy o yo estoy
    You are =Tu eres o tu está
    We are = Nosotros somos o nosotros estamos
    They are= Ellos son o ellos están
    She is= Ella es o ella está
    He is=El es o el está
    It is= Esto es o esto está

    Negative (-) (isn’t-aren’t-am not). Se forma con el pronombre y el


    verbo to be en negative.
    I am not=Yo no soy o yo no estoy
    You arent= you are not
    We arent= we are not
    They arent= They are not
    She isnt= She is not
    He isnt= He is not
    It isnt= It is not

    Yes/ no questions. Las preguntas se realizan escribiendo el verbo


    to be (IS-ARE_AM + subject). We use are in plural and is in
    singular.
    Are you a teacher? Am I a good person?
    Are we good Friends? Contractions of be (La forma corta del
    Are they doctors? Verbo ser o estar).
    Is he a pilot? I am= I`m They are=They`re It is= It`s
    Is she a student? You are=You`re He is=He`s
    Is it a book? We are= We`re She is=She`s
    Exercise 2
    1-Fill in the blanks with a pronoun and the correct form of the
    verb to be.
    1- I am not from japan. I`m from Thailand.
    2- are you from Indonesia? Yes, I am.
    3-Where are from? They’re from China.
    4- he is not an engineer. He is a doctor.
    5- is she a student? Yes, she is.
    6- is he a pilot? No, he is not.
    2-Match the questions and the answers.

    3-Write the contractions

    Descriptive adjectives.
    Easy-happy-interesting-dangerous-unhappy-rich-safe-poor-
    difficult-boring.
    Exercise 3
    1- Write the adjectives in the correct column.

    2- Write the opposite adjective. Escribe el adjetivo opuesto

    3- Read the sentences. Circle the correct adjective.
    1-Luis is a travel agent. His job is (interesting/ boring).
    2-Marcos is a police officer. His job is (safe/dangerous).
    3-Mario`s job doesn’t have a good salary. He is (happy/unhappy).
    4-Ismael is a doctor. He is (rich/poor).
    5-Gabriela is a teacher. Her job is (easy/difficult).

    Possessive adjectives. (Los adjetivos posesivos siempre van
    acompañado de un sustantivo). His se utiliza para el masculino y
    her se utiliza para el femenino. Their se utiliza para el plural.
    Possessive adjective + noun
    My book= mi libro
    Your house=tu casa
    His name is Luis=su nombre
    Her name is Maria=su nombre
    Their parents are friendly= sus padres son amistosos.

    Exercise 3.
    1-Complete the sentences using a possessive adjective.
    1-I am a farmer. My salary is not very good.
    2-Luis is a musician. His job is interesting.
    3- Susan and Mary are from Canada. Their nationality is
    Canadian.
    4- You are a pilot. I think your job is dangerous.
    5- Carolina is from Germany. Her nationality is German.

    Grammar. Subject es el pronombre o sujeto, be es el verbo ser o
    estar y adjective es el adjetivo o cualidad.
    Este tema se utiliza para aprender a realizar oraciones en inglés,
    para describir personas, animales o cosas.
    Subject + be+ adjective
    My sister is happy
    It is dangerous.
    My friend is unhappy.
    His job is interesting
    I am happy.
    Explicacion del tema.
    Subject es el sujeto o pronombre, be es el verbo ser o estar, article,
    son los artículos un o una, adjective es el adjetivo o cualidades y noun
    es el sustantivo o el nombre de todas las cosas que nos rodean.
    Article: A significa un o una. An significa un o una.
    An se utiliza cuando la palabra comienza en vocal y
    A se utiliza cuando la palabra comienza en consonante.
    Example. A book=un libro An engineer=un ingeniero
    An easy A difficult
    Subject + Be+ Article+ Adjective+ noun.
    It is an easy test=Esto es un
    examen facil.

    Marcos is a good friend=Marcos


    es un buen amigo.

    Your sister is a beautiful girl= Tu hermana


    es una muchacha hermosa.

    Exercise 4.
    1-Circle the correct word or phrase in parentheses.
    1-My father`s job is (interesting/ an interesting). He is a newspaper
    photographer. It`s not (easy/an easy) job, but he enjoys it.
    2-I am a travel agent. The salary isn’t very (good/ an good).
    3-John is an engineer. It`s (difficult/a difficult) job, but it`s
    (interesting/an interesting) job.

    2-Unscramble the words to write sentences.
