Boho Crochet
BY MARTINGALE
The bohemian look is one trend that’s shown serious staying
power, and crochet lends itself to this style perfectly. The fun-to-
make patterns in this book were inspired by the colors and designs
of the 1960s and 70s, but they have a modern twist that makes
them versatile and timeless. From hats and mitts, to coffee cozies,
pillows, and bags, there is a project here for every crocheter.

Short Rows BY SHERYL THIES
A short row can be worked over any number of stitches and can
be worked from either the left or right edge of the piece. The
method for working the short row differs slightly depending on
which edge the short row is started.
Wrap up in style and flaunt your cascading ruffles. The honeycomb stitch pattern
gives the shawl a fantastic textured appearance. This texture adds weight and
beautifully complements the voluminous ruffle that is created with short rows.

Be the first to show off your talent for “knitting” a project with a Knook
hook, a special crochet hook with a hole near the bottom for a cable
cord. The small size of this project makes it a wonderful way to master
this easy technique. Quickly create this fun ribbed bag, add decorative
handles and a lining by hand or with a sewing machine, and you have a
bag perfect for your next outing.
Textured Picots
Rather than being worked around
the edge, this pattern uses picot
stitches throughout the body of
the fabric, giving the appearance of
bobbles without the work.

Cobblestones
Combine half double crochet and
slip stitches to form this texture.
The slipped stitches slant, giving
an interesting effect to the finished
