Operational Notes
o Clicking on the question mark (?) next to the control boxes will provide help.

o If a detector fails the PanelCert qualification, try mapping the detector again
with fewer pixels. A common mistake is to map more than 17 pixels in a 5 by 5
area. This is a violation of the specification and will cause a failure.

o The reports will specify the X and Y coordinate of any failure. By using PixFix
and typing the coordinates into the View/Goto menu selection, the defect can be
found quickly.

o If desired, map names can be changed to something more meaningful by using a

hyphen character. All characters from the hyphen to the period will be ignored
but processed properly. For example, MP1234-tom.map is a legal name.

o Don’t keep any files in the c:\PanelCert\data directory. This directory is used as
a scratchpad and all files are erased each time the program is executed.

o Questions can be answered by calling Technical Support at 800-760-8342.
