NASKAH DRAMA: MALEFICENT

MALEFICENT
SCENE I
Once upon a time there were two kingdoms that were the worst of neighbours. In one kingdom live
folked with a vain and greedy king. For in the other kingdom, the Moors lived every manner of
strange and wonderful creature. There was a fairy-girl who protected the Moors. And her name was
Maleficent.
Maleficent : Hey what’s going on?
Flittle : There was a man in our Moors. I guess he is from the other kingdom.
Thistletwit : I’m pretty sure he will destroy our Moors.
Maleficent : Okay but don’t be afraid. Where is he? I’m going to talk with him.
Knotgrass : He is in the garden. I hope this isn’t another war.
After Maleficent heard about it, she found him in the garden. But the man hide from her.
Maleficent : Come out. What do you want from our Moors? It’s not right to steal but we don’t kill
anybody.
Steffan : I’m sorry. I just walked around here. The Moors was beautiful and I touched the flowers
which I’ve ever seen it before. I’m Steffan. Who are you? Your wings are so dangerous.
Maleficent : I am Maleficent. Don’t be afraid. I will bring you home.

SCENE II
Steffan and Maleficent became bestfriends. Time passed by. And on her 16ᵗʰ birthday. Steffan gave
Maleficent a gift. He told her it was a bestfriend ring. After all this time, Steffan’s ambition called him
away. The king of the other kingdom wanted to killed Maleficent and the gift from the king was to be
the next thing.
The King : Attention to all of you. You did knew about the Moors. I want to take the Moors but there’s
its guardian, Maleficent. Anyone who can kill Maleficent will be the next king changed me.
Steffan : Are you serious, my king?
The King : Don’t you trust me? I am the king in this kingdom. Bring me Maleficent. And make sure
she is dead.
Steffan was confused. He came to Maleficent but he couldn’t kill Maleficent.

Steffan : Maleficent! Maleficent!

Maleficent : So, how life’s with the humans?
Steffan : I came to warn you that they mean to kill you! Please trust me!
They spoke many things and the years faded away. But Steffan still wanted to be the king. He gave
Maleficent a drink and Maleficent slept. So, he cut her wings. Steffan was sure that her wings were
her powers.
Steffan : I am so sorry Maleficent but I want to be the king.

Maleficent woke up and she realized her wings was cut by Steffan. She shocked and got angry
Maleficent : NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I get my revenge Steffan
SCENE III
Steffan be the next king after he cut the wings of Maleficent. But, Maleficent turned into an evil. The
Moors became worst after Maleficent cursed it.
One day, Maleficent found an eagle was caught by a hunter.
Maleficent : Into a man.
Diaval : What happened to me? I’m just a bird and you turned me into a human. Thank you.
Maleficent : No. I just want you to be my wings.
Diaval : It would be my pleasure. What should I do?
Maleficent : You just come to the other kingdom there and see what’s going on.
Diaval : I will, my savior.
Diaval came to the kingdom as an eagle and saw that Steffan and the Queen had a child. Maleficent
was mad. Her revenge was so high. She planned something for Steffan.
Diaval :Well, there’s been a child. The King and The Queen have a child. There’ll be a grand
celebration for the baby
Maleficent : A grand celebration for a baby… hmmm. How wonderful! Diaval follow me.

SCENE IV
A grand celebration in the other kingdom for a new-born baby. All of fairies invited except
Maleficent. The fairies would give her gifts for a baby. A lot of people came to the kingdom.
Maleficent and Diaval entered too.
Thistletwit : Look, there’s a baby!
Fliitle : With your majesty, we are from Moorland fair folk.
The Queen : They bring gifts for our child.
Steffan : Thank you.
Knotgrass : There are not just any old gifts. (The Fairies come to the baby)
Fliitle : Sweet Aurora, I wish for you the gift of beauty.
Knotgrass : My wish that you’ll never be blue.
Thistletwit : And I give you … (Suddenly, Maleficent come)
Maleficent : Well well. What a wonderful celebration king Steffan. And you didn’t invite me. What a
beautiful daughter, steffan. I have to come because I shall give a baby the gifts.
Steffan : Don’t you dare! We don’t need your present. You’re not welcoming here.
The Fairies : Stay away from the princess.
Maleficent : Listen well, before the sunset on her 16ᵗʰ birthday she will prick her finger on the spindle of
a spinning wheel and fall into a sleep like dead. The curse will be forever.
Steffan : Maleficent don’t do this please. I’m begging you.
Maleficent : I like you begging. The princess can be woken from her death sleep. But only by true love.
Steffan : Maleficent please. I am sorry. Pleaseeee…
Maleficent : Nooooooo.... that was your fault steffan. Now you get it.

King Steffan ordered his servants to burn every spinning wheel in the kingdom and thrown in the
deepest prison in the castle. The queen dead because of illness. Secretly he entrusted the safety of the
child to the magic of the fairies.
Steffan : Bring my child to the forest until her 16ᵗʰ birthday.
Fliitle : I will my king. We will take care of Aurora
Thistletwit : Maleficent can’t touch her.

SCENE V
Aurora was grew up into a beautiful girl. She was nice and kind. And while the fairies couldn’t keep
her well, Maleficent slowly turned back into nice. She took care Aurora with Diaval. Maleficent loved
Aurora but the curse will be forever although she tried to save her. Aurora wanted to live in the
Moors with Maleficent. So, she talked with the fairies.
Aurora : Tomorrow is my 16ᵗʰ birthday. Thank you for everything. I wanna live in the Moors
with Maleficent
Knotgrass : (Shocked) What are you talking about? You can’t Aurora.
Aurora : Why? She is my fairy god-mother.
Fliitle : I tell you something. You had cursed. You are the princess from the other kingdom there.
On your 16ᵗʰ birthday, you will prick your finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and fall into a sleep like
dead. The curse will be forever. You had been cursed by Maleficent.
Aurora : No way! I don’t believe you all. She’s nice to me. I love her and so does she.
Thistletwit : Trust us. She is an evil in this world.
Aurora : No, you lied... (Running)

Aurora ran to Maleficent. But in her way she met a prince who went to the King Steffan’s kingdom.
His name was Philip. Philip had crush at the first sight at Aurora.
Philip : Hey, why are you running so fast? I am looking for king’s Steffan kingdom. Did you know?
Aurora : Who are you? I don’t know you. Stay away!
Philip : Whoa. Slow down. I am prince Philip from the Naight. And you?
Aurora   : I am sorry. I am Aurora. You just keep looking. I am so busy now. Bye! (Running)
Philip : How beautiful!

SCENE VI
Aurora met Maleficent and asked her about the cursed. Maleficent was sad. Aurora left Maleficent
and went to king’s Steffan’s kingdom.
Aurora : Maleficent, Is that true about the curse?
Maleficent : I am so sorry Aurora.
Aurora : Why did you do that to me?
Maleficent : Juts listen to me!
Aurora : Just stay away. You’re the evilest in the world. You act like didn’t curse at me and
love me like a mom love to her daughter. But, you want to kill me....
Maleficent : Auroraaa!!!! Oh no, what I’ve done. Diaval let’s find the prince who met Aurora from the
Naight!
Diaval : I will. I think he’s a true love for Aurora.

SCENE VII
Aurora went to the King. The King was busy. His ambition was to kill Maleficent. So, Aurora was
placed in the secret room. Aurora was hypnotized by the voice from her room wall and walked to the
hall full of spinning wheel. She put her finger and pricked it. She fall into sleep like death. Philip, the
prince from the Naight entered to the castle.
Steffan : It’s happened. All of you just stay here until Maleficent come here. Don’t let her
touch Aurora.
Philip : Excuse me, I am looking for king Steffan.
Thistletwit : My king, maybe he is a true love for princess Aurora. (Talking to Steffan)
Philip : (Seeing Aurora) Oh my God Aurora. What happened to her?
Steffan : She had cursed and she will wake up if there is her true love.
Philip : May I sir? I have met her before. To be honest, I like her. This is for her
Steffan : Yes, you can do it.

Maleficent saw it and Philip gave flowers to Aurora. But she didn’t wake up. Steffan got mad and sent
Philip away. Maleficent and Diaval watched this sadly. And when Aurora alone in her room, they
entered to her bed. Maleficent apologized to Aurora and cried.
Maleficent : I will not ask you for forgiveness. What I’ve done is unforgivable. I was so lost in hatred
and revenge. I never dreamed that I could love you so much Aurora. (Crying on her forehead)
Aurora : Fairy godmother? (Woke up)
Maleficent : Aurora, my dear.
Diaval : There’s no true love’s ring but act of true love.
Aurora : I should know that you’re my true love, fairy godmother. Let me live with you in the
Moors.

SCENE VIII
Aurora and Maleficent went from the castle, but they were caught by Steffan. Aurora ran to some
place in the castle and she found Maleficent’s wings. Maleficent and Steffan were fought.
Steffan  : You shouldn’t be here. You’re gonna die. And I will kill you.
Aurora : This is your wings

Suddenly, Maleficent got her wings and she got strength. She fought Steffan.
Maleficent : You will be lost. The evil in this world has to be you. You betrayed me just to be a king.

SCENE IX
As Maleficent said, Steffan was lost by Maleficent. Steffan died. Aurora, Maleficent, and Diaval went
to the Moors. The Moors returned to be a wonderful kingdom. The Fairies gave Aurora a beautiful
flowers crown.
Maleficent : Now, you are the princess in the Moors.
Fliitle : This is your flowers crown, princess.
Knotgrass : Oh yeah, we will live happlily ever after
Thistletwit : You look so beautiful, Aurora.
Aurora : Thank you. I love you all so much

As we know the story end with happily ever after like the other fairytale. Maleficent and Diaval flying
high over the Moors and through the clouds. It took one who has both a hero and a villain to make
things right. And her name was Maleficent. The end.
