POLITICAL CARICATURE ANALYSIS

Every election is affected by the phenomena of vote-buying. In this scenario, the candidates buy

someone's right to vote with their wealth. In addition to simply using money as a kind of donation, giving

items to every family, or engaging in other activities involving a candidate's wealth are alternative

options. They can do this by employing motivational language, and when voters choose them, they will

get a reward. Another possibility is that people will modify their voting habits if candidates showcase

typically acceptable behavior, notwithstanding any negative past or reputation that cannot be discouraged.

Since people may occasionally be at their most vulnerable, they can't avoid certain circumstances. As a

result, people neglect to exercise their human and electoral rights, which requires them to research each

candidate's background.

The picture above demonstrates that, even if it is against the law, you can do whatever you want

if

you have the ability to control the law or put it in your hands. Without a good cause, the policeman in the

middle of the picture killed a mother and her so. Since he was aware of his position being a police officer,

he thought they will tolerate the immoral actions he did and accept whatever he pleases. However, the

truth is that he is to blame and guilty. The scenario clearly shows that "justice" is only available to the

wealthy because the case and the problem have already been resolved within a month. The killing scene

got viral on social media and people with different opinions gathered around. But one things is for sure,

must and always remain passive, neutral, partial.


2021

This political caricature definitely embodies the lyrics, "Habang may tatsulok at sila ang nasa

tuktok, 'di matatapos itong gulo." We are living in a democratic country wherein the society relies on the

will of the people and abides by the rules of law, however there's still some circumstances where we feel

unjust, wrong and the evildoings of people so far exist; after all, world is truly unfair. The picture shows

that they're implementing mass testing, but the politicians think that they are more important and

privileged than the other individuals. The ordinary people were helpless from powerful and merciless

oligarch. Here you can say that they really only think about themselves and their own sake, those in

positions don't care about the people they supposed to serve, and the duty given to them by the people

who trusted them.

On the right side of the picture there’s another drawing that shows how many people die due to

not being tested and more frontliners being affected by the Covid-19. Healthcare frontliners are already in

the end of fatigue, they are the ones who are more suffering and yet these government officials were
displaying their ear-splitting grins as if there’s no terrible disaster happening around. If only we’re able to

follow the rules, aren’t greedy and won’t use the power cards they hold, maybe somehow medical

professionals could save more lives.
