Silicone-free substrate wetting agent for aqueous coatings, printing inks, adhesives, sealants,
and construction chemical applications. Reduces the dynamic surface tension and is particularly
suitable for high-speed machines.

Special Features and Benefits

The additive reduces the dynamic surface tension and therefore improves the substrate wetting. It is particularly
recommended for high-speed applications. When added to the millbase, it reduces the viscosity when grinding
the pigment, increases the gloss, color strength, and transparency, and reduces the flooding/floating in pigment
blends.

Recommended Levels
0.5-2 % additive (as supplied) based on the total formulation.
The above recommended levels can be used for orientation. Optimal levels are determined through
a series of laboratory tests.
Incorporation and Processing Instructions

To improve the substrate wetting, the additive is added to the finished system.
To optimize the pigment grinding, the additive is added to the millbase.
A slight foam build-up may be observed when using BYK-LP X 22933.
Construction Chemical Applications
Special Features and Benefits

The product very efficiently reduces the foam build-up and phase separation in PCE-based concrete
admixtures. It is also suitable for the long-term reduction of air voids in PCE-based concrete
admixtures and concrete applications, particularly self-compacting concrete types.
Recommended Use
The additive can be used in all aqueous PCE-based concrete admixtures and superplastisizers and in
concrete applications. The product also improves the processing properties of admixtures and is suitable
both for standard additives and for air void-forming admixtures.
Recommended Levels
0.2-0.6 % additive (as supplied) based on the total formulation.
The above recommended levels can be used for orientation. Optimal levels are determined through
a series of laboratory tests.
Incorporation and Processing Instructions

Depending on the production conditions, the additive can be incorporated during any stage of the
production process with low to medium shear energy.
