Executive summary
Newly arrived German immigrants in Texas, who were sausage-makers finding resistance
to the sausages they used to make, have been credited with introducing the corn dog to the
United States and adopted by different countries. Corn dog is one of the most popular street food
snack that can be found here in the Philippines. It is a sausage on a stick that has been coated in a
thick layer of cornmeal batter and deep fried.
Corn dog is the best choice for those who are looking for a very affordable and yet
fulfilling snack with delicious taste. Our product is as unique as others. Thus, It will be made in a
filipino way with its reasonable price that people can surely afford. Instead of utilizing sausage, it
will be replace by hot dog and can be made in different flavors. The venture will adopt a
concentrated marketing strategy. It will comprise a mix of advertising, sales promotion, public
relations, and personal selling.
Many Asians buy the ready-to-eat foods and beverages on their way to work or during
their lunch breaks. Consumers come from every social class and businessmen are often seen
eating their lunches next to construction workers from the countryside. The benefits of street
food seem to be apparent to everybody. It is cheap, easily accessible, often nutritious, and offers
an endless culinary variety of traditional dishes for every taste.
Gaston Park is an affluent area and a lot of students and workers hangout during their
lunch break and free time, an ideal market for a street food business such as Dazzling corndog.
Vendors have usually appealed to passersby in favoring transitional spaces at jeep stations, in
front of schools and rest stops instead of sites like sports stadium and movie theaters.
The competition
While there is currently 3 street food businesses in Gaston Park, none of them are selling
corndogs.Currently, there is no single company dominating are market, This may because
corndogs are very new in the street foods industry in CDO.
What makes our corndog unique is it contains thickly battered and chewy dough with a
sausage inside and is sprinkled with sugar and drizzled with ketchup and mustard. Today, this
traditional snack is available with multiple condiments as well as crusts.
In the market, our target customers are individual consumers are those who are into K-
dramas or K-pop fans since corndogs are a popular snack in the said country (South Korea). It is
often showcased in the show and it is irrefutable that the Korean syndrome has widely impacted
our country, the Philippines. With that being said, our customers will most likely have the
following demographic profile; Female/Male, with an age range of teens (13) up to early thirty’s
(30).
Our business falls in the food industry, so it cannot be avoided that we have a lot of direct
and indirect competitions. However, we ensure that our product offers something unique and
innovative that could attract the attention of the costumers. One of which is our packaging, we
plan to use photos of their favorite K-dramas and K-pop groups so that they could take a photo or
keep it as a souvenir. Aside from that, we also offer various batters like cheese and potato so that
it is not just affordable but also a scrumptious snack.

One of the famous snacks in Korea which we named “Dazzling Corndog “. Actually, a
corn dog is a sausage on a stick that has been coated in a thick layer of cornmeal batter and deep
fried however we decided to replace hotdog instead of a sausage because we notice that most of
the Filipinos loves hotdog and we have choices for the sauce of the corndog. In addition, we
come up to the idea of letting our customers choose a sticker related to their K-pop idols to put
on the packaging.
b. Price
We believe that a K-pop stans is willing to spend a lot of money of things related to K-
pop however, we also believe that not all of them has the capability to spend on expensive
amount, so we decide to sell “ corndog” in a budget friendly price.
c. Place
The location of the business is also significant to be considered. We plan to put up our
business in Gaston Park located at FJGR+5VJ, Cagayan de Oro, 9000 Misamis Oriental, the
main plaza of Cagayan de Oro and one of most famous places in the city.
d. Promotion
Nowadays that we live in technology era we can easily promote our products using any
social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, twitter and also, we can promote it via
YouTube by vlogging our product. In addition, aside from social medias we also plan to make
mini brochure that will be given to the customers.

I. Production
A. Procedures
For manufacturing, the creation of our products may consume a minimum of 10 minutes
and maximum of 15 minutes. The exact time of rush hour is at 10am and 3pm.
In order to avoid being panic during this hour we produce at least a minimum of 10 products to
prevent customers complains. We highly do observe the rule of first come first serve.
A business continuously grows at all times with the presence of safety and security
measurements. Aside from the fact that the quality of product is necessarily needed, upholding a
regulation can add the chances of business to make the product be purchased, and at the same
time, gain the respect and gratification of customers.

Financial plan
Financial Assumptions
As shown in figure 1, the expected total amount that the company needed to set-up
the entire business is 13,000.
The forecasted pre-operating monthly sales will be base on the company's normal
capacity to produce the product which increases per month.
The operating cost amounting to 30,000 are the expenses incurred from the normal
day-to-day of running the business.
There are more possible competitors in the following months, but the Company will
make their product improve with quality and compete.
In the upcoming months, the company is expecting to have more sales and gain
greater profit and to maintain the stability over period of time.
Idea Validation
In order to validate our chosen business, we have decided to gather feedbacks from
various respondents by conducting a survey through Google forms which we think is the fastest,
convenient and cost-free way to test how the market thinks of our product (corndog). The graph
below is the data collected by our company members based from the survey results we created
online with only 12 respondents randomly.

Based from the data we have gathered; we could conclude that they are indeed interested
with our product. We got positive responses, that 100% are willing to patronize our product. Not
to mention, 66.7% or the majority are willing to buy our corndog at the same price we are
planning to sell them which is 30php. It is safe to say that we could proceed with our idea and
plan.
