Plural means more than one.


We usually add ‘s’ when there are more than one.
Example: one bottle four bottles
We add ‘es’ when words end with sh, ch, ss, o or x.
Example: one glass three glasses
Irregular plural nouns are nouns that do not become plural by
adding –s or –es, as most nuns do. Sometimes we do not add s
when there is more than one noun.
Example: one woman two woman
Say aloud: boys, girls, dresses (‘s’ sounds like ‘z’)
Suits, skirts, mats (‘s’ sounds like ‘ss’)
