Pros and Cons of Globalism and Internationalism:

Internationalism:

Most people define internationalism as an appreciation for the world's many cultures
and a desire for world peace. People who share this view believe that they are not just
members of their own countries, but also citizens of the entire world.

Some of the advantages of internationalism which includes,

 Increase sales and profits

 Short- and long-term security

 Increase innovation and management learning

 Economies of scale

 Competitive strike

 Minimize risk

 Get cheaper labor

 Providing challenging opportunities

Internationalism promotes peace and security, self-determination, economic stability, and

humanitarianism. For example, in the case of a large international sporting event such as the
Olympics, attracting foreign investment will result in huge economic rewards for the host
country. The event attracts tourists, which benefits the economy. Many nations' quality of life
may be preserved through internationalism. It may also dramatically raise the quality of living
that nations are unable to achieve on their own. Nations can achieve a variety of goals through
internationalism through interacting with other countries, either bilaterally or multilaterally.

Some of the disadvantage of Internationalism involves:

 Often leads to war due to feelings of superiority and inability to compromise.

 Encourages prejudice towards people of other nationalities living in the country.
 Discourages diplomacy and cooperation due to belief in superiority.
 Rhetoric is emotionally based and allows for politicians to easily manipulate the
public.
 Encourages people to blindly follow the leader.
Internationalism is the concept of doing what is best for your country or nation state, even
if it means inflicting harm to another group. Many nations have been able to satisfy their national
interests and enhance their positions as a result of this way of thinking. On the one hand, this is
correct; nonetheless, the ideology of internationalism may cause grief, suffering, and problems
for other nations.

As globalism has been clearly defined and given explanation in abovementioned

statements, as it seeks to comprehend all of the modern world's interconnections, as well as
to highlight the patterns that underpin and attempts to explain them. It is a long-standing
phenomenon. As a result, the question is not how ancient globalism is, but how "thin" or
"thick" it is at any one time.

Pros of Globalism:

 Encourages free trade.

 Encourages the free spread of ideas around the world.
 Encourages empathy and consideration towards people from other nations.
 Encourages people to learn more about other nations.
 Encourages international cooperation and communication.
 Encourages peace and diplomacy.
Cons

 Can lead to loss of national power.

 International trade can lead to domestic job loss and cause corporations to become
overly powerful and difficult to regulate.
